This ad does a great job of helping to explain our fascination with cars and connection to them as objects of our desire.

We are definitely proud to allow the new Viper to shine...

I love this commercial. I was born in the Chicago area in mid sixties with six older sisters and a younger brother. My sisters all started driving between 1969 and 1979. My parents bought them all muscle cars for their first cars. I loved riding with them to ball games or meeting up with their friends at Dairy Queen or McDonalds. They had cool cars so a lot of cool kids would hang around them.Their friends drove midsize kind of muscle cars then. Kids still cruised and hung out together. I did not get to drive until 1983. My parents were divorced and I lived with my mother and younger brother outside Philadelphia. Our financial situation was a lot different. My first car was beat up 1967 mustang with a inline 6 that I bought myself, but it was still freedom, fun and magic. This commercial fits my sisters more than me. but is still brings me back to a better time when we were better people and a better country. The Viper reminds me of those muscle cars and how I felt about cars then. The modern hippies say that they are going to embarrass Americans into giving up our car by 2045. I hope that younger people love their cars as much as I did. Thank you Dodge for making real cars still.

I purchased the wagon used in this from the original owner 20 + years ago. Still have it and hats off to Harry (original owner) is still with us . 😀

I absolutely love this commercial always loved the SRT brand and Dodge!! Plus my dads in the commercial!! Its awesome!

SRT is fighting against Mercedes AMG, BMW's M-division, Ford SVT, Chevrolet SS, and several other tuning groups. Its a tight market once again (great for us, not so great for them). The commercial is a reminder they helped breathe life into the muscle car and sports cars in general, and are here to stay. Really well executed.

Mopar always hits the spot in performance. Just couldn't see myself driving anything other than a Mopar. So much history to back up their immense expertise. Great commercial!

Any ad that has a mint version of my old 1972 Challenger immediately becomes awesome in my book. What a fantastic commercial. (Almost a short film.) All hail Mother Mopar!

I actually have ridden in a 3rd gen, 2004 Viper convertible. It was awesome, I'm not denying that, even if it was just a short ride in the passenger seat across town. Just wondering who these SRT commercials are supposed to be for.

They are part of "SRT Heritage" alongside the Viper (MKI : RT\10, MKII : RT\10 - GTS - ACR, MKIII : SRT10 & MKIV SRT10) , The Ram SRT10 & The Plymouth Prowler ! I don't know about the Caliber SRT4 though

SRT and Dodge are technically two separate companies. You won't find a Dodge badge on a Viper.

Maybe this commercial is to try to get car enthusiasts to buy an srt product? Maybe they just felt like making a commercial! Who knows why they made it. I like the commercial.

Amazing car, if I had the money I'd buy it. Dodge should be a little afraid though, the Z06 is going to be $78k and will have almost as much HP as the Viper, and I'm willing to bet it's lighter. The ZR1 will definitely have above 700 horsepower, so Dodge better get crafty. My suggestion is to try to slap a supercharger on that beautifully massive engine. Still, if I had $150k to spend, I'd buy a Viper. MUCH less common than Corvettes, and the largest production engine in the world. (Vipers V10 is 512 ci, while the Veyron's W16 is 488 ci)

dodge should throw the viper engine in the charger or challenger and make it lighter.

I love SRT, and my SRT8, but I wonder who this commercial is supposed to be for? Car enthusiasts know SRT exists, and most certainly follow (if not drive one themselves) SRT. Other customers for the brand are the morons with more money than sense that just have to have the most expensive/fastest car on the lot because they can. So who is the target for this advert?

I just read an article in the "Berlin Wall Street Journal by a modern day hippie saying that car ownership will soon be a thing of the past. He feels that anyone who still wants to own a car will be a flat earther. Car ownership of the past will be considered a time of hyper wealth, and everybody will want to live in larger cities and use government transport. Can you hear "my god it will be glorious"in his Lenninist wet dream. I work for Toyota so I guess I will be unemployed. I hated the hippies when they would show up at my house to date my sisters. Now I think they threaten every man, woman, and child on the "flat" planet and they are too stupid to know that they themselves are included in that grouping..
