The plate you're testing is two plates explosion welded together. It's a good way of putting two alloys together without using conventional welding techniques. We use something similar on heavy equipment for abrasion resistance on grapples and buckets.
Without the force, a lightsaber is pretty useless against even a poorly trained rifleman. Not to mention, the "lightsaber" is nothing more than a glorified blow torch. Still cool, but even a standard flame thrower is a more effective weapon. Hacksmith makes some awesome stuff though, gotta admit.

Hey DemolitionRanch, could you do a video on the British Lee-Enfield No.4 or the No.3? Those rifles had incredibly smooth bolts for a WW1 and WW2 era gun, and i believe .303 British is still available as surplus ammo.
The bad thing about much of the surplus ammo on the market is that it is either Iranian or Turk, and it wasn't stored in great conditions... although I have shot some, I mainly load up on the PPU when it is on sale. Still makes it cost prohibitive to practice for mad minutes though :)
PPU makes 303 for 45c a shot WW1 and pre WW2 Mausers are just abaut as smooth diffference is cock on open vs cock on close take a m96Swedish mauser and it really feels just as smooth
