Doesn't matter what you are, if you ain't white, you're all the same for the average white, gun-toting american. This is what America looks like from the outside world.
As a hardcore metal head, I admit that body count sounds better than alote of metal bands... And the lyrics are constructive love this... I'm going to listen to their entire discography
Ain't nobody gonna tell Ice MF'ing T WTF to do!!! Wouldn't want to be the guy who tried! This stuff is just excellent metal music with syncopated lyrical style. Rocks heavy. Ernie C is so criminally underrated.

when he says, "held your best friend in your arms", then the guitar kicks in with the groove that they established. That gives me chills everywhere. The spoken part and how it kicks in is incredible.
Ice T still speaking truth in his lyrics....Keeping mf's woke since the 80's!!! Still Killing it with DJ Evil E , Ernie C and Body Count. One of the realest in Hip Hop!
@@ChromeTecNina Yup. Ice-T formed Body Count so Ernie C could play guitar on the big stage. It also gave that same chance to Mooseman, D-roc and Beastmaster V who along with Ernie C all went to Crenshaw High with Ice T
If people had listened to body count more carefully in the past, there would be no reason to listen to them now. They were right over 30 years ago and they are right now. And they telling it with so much power. Still love them
Ice-T is so damn underrated, especially in the rap world. It's damn sad to me. He's been speaking about this stuff for over 30 years and yet he never gets a fucking mention by any of the "big shots".
Ice-t never sold out in fact he keeps it way too real tells you in every song how the game leads to self destruction. In hil hop today they just glamorize the dope game don't talk about the downside hardly ever.
@@Paradoxownsjoo Pretty sure the reason is because "urban" is often just code for Black, but in a way that is less blatantly racialized. Terms like "the urban market", etc.
Word Up.. We in Belgrade can very much relate to this great song, we even had a real war, not only gangbang shootings, butTomahawk rockets on us in 1999...
When music gets bad, you can always turn to Kreator. This Body Count stuff really is impressive. I never got into rap and I am still a metalhead at 45 years old. I can dig this stuff. I got Ice-T and Kelli Giddish on TV with Law & Order SVU and have them both on my phone with Body Count's All Love is Lost. Love it!
V3ntilator i like teens filled with the eager to bring something new and to fuck shit up like Code Orange and denzel curry (for example) but yeah body count still got it. they deserve lot of respect.
I didn't really like Body Count back in the days. Not enough speed, not enough heavy at a time I was almost fully into NYHC and brutal metal. But more than 20 years later with their last album, it seems they are definitly a legendary band, still breaking frontiers and pushing their limits. I can only bend the knee and submit, all hail BC !!!
This song reminds of the best days of the old street metal movement, BIOHAZARD and the such... It's fucking gorgeous, I've been listening to it on repeat for several days in a row now. I can't believe I just recently heard it. Fan-fucking-tastic.
@@edgehc3193 you generalize in a very prejudiced way, and order a dude to get out from here in the name of being anti homophobic? And you do this while listening to the band whose message is to stick together. Now that's stupid man :)
This is fucking amazing! The instrumentals in this song are some of the best I've heard in metal in years. It makes me think, I never understood how metal music never connected huge with the hoods in the USA. Rap infiltrated the ghettos and brainwashed the populace with terrible messages. Obviously not all rap is terrible, most of it is pop manufactured garbage, but there is some decent talented rap out there, but imagine taking the musical genius of African Americans from the hoods of the USA and turning that into metal music. It would be such a positive outlet, but also I think a real untapped potential and new sound could enter the metal genre. I would love to hear it, spread the word on metal music. Make America Metal Again!
Think U need 2 learn more history on Metal. Anthranx (I'm the Man) influence of Hip Hop. Hence, they later worked with Public Enemy. Biohazard (hence later working with Onyx); and of course Suicidal Tendencies. There's been a LOT of fusion between the genres. Cannot forget RATM.
Treach is a good director and filming this in my backyard in the East Orange/Newark border makes it even better. Glad he returned home to do a few new videos with Treach!
I have been listening to Ice-T for a long time now. I started following Body Count since he dropped the first demo on his OG album. I knew at the time that a lot of my friends were not into metal, so it is nice to know so many people like me appreciate this.
I saw them in a room with no stage! I was so thrilled Ice T broke through and had the courage to play metal. And great metal with african-american truth
Gotta love this man's articulation. It's so rare to actually understand someone's lyrics on those genres of music . Plus he has something to say unlike others.A+ from their start a long time ago
I can think of nothing more organically American than this band. The collaboration of seemingly conflicting cultures that should crumble under its own dissonance but amalgamates into a singular, loud, angry, and violent protest. Racial tension and conflict creating a driving force rather than a division. Spectacular and terrifying to behold
I love Ernie C's riffing. I hope Juan sticks around for a while, because the two of them together have created some of my favorite albums. This is definitely my favorite song from Bloodlust.
What the song has is attitude! And after long time since the 90's, when real was more then appreciated this is a good vibe, something real with deep meaning and tough words! How about we leave the past behind and keep going on our way to better days? Peace!
I would have been really happy to hear this tune in the 80´s or in the 90´s. I am happy to listen to it in the 10´s. Ice-T and his people are real heroes and a visionaries !
Yep. I hate hearing the gunshots every night too, but until someone says something like this, and keeps saying it over and over again... Ghetto life ain't for everyone, it's for no one! Thank you Body Count... But keep it on repeat... We'll get it right one day.
Dann H I’m little drops mother fuvking pencil case Mum always right ... that’s why she won’t get close to little aaaaiiiiimmmmeeee she won’t rip her x#4 heart out like she got. I see the pope and ala etc isis etc heaps of things but I see Liam how he is and can hear sos I got control evidence that was taken and huge lengths were taken to hide it!! Fk em and their law poor people there fkd up
Violence will only end when those creating it understand it's up to *them* to stop it! Coming up with excuses for the bullshit you do is pathetic. I remember watching "Boys N' the Hood" and Tre's speech blaming the "devil white man" and its politics for black on black violence. *Bullshit!* Take some responsability for once! Nobody is putting a gun on your hands and making you kill your brothers. It's sad to use conspiracy theories to explain away the mess in your own backyard.
This isn't always true. I graduated High school and I'm working a shit landscaping job and That high school education did nothing for me. Diploma was worthless and With college putting people in debt it's almost impossible to live a happy life going that route. Which is why people end up in gangs and Hope to live like Chief Keef, Gucci Mane, Eazy-E, and Tekashi69. Owning a 3 million dollar mansion and Living the good life. I hope to make it as well, some day.
I’ve never heard this band till a couple of years ago! They are so awesome! It always puts me in a great mood and I love to try and sing along with Ice! Always pump’s me up every time
Can`t agree with you at all. :( To label this as black metal is wrong even if i understand the meaning from Do Me A Favor and Kill Me but nevertheless this track is an awesome heavymetal track. This is no crappy Rap Metal at all. If yo ulisten to the whole album with a metalheart you will hear that it is not just another crossover.
This band is a threat to the establishment. That's why I freaking love them. I'm a white dude that grew up in a poor neighborhood but I have seen almost everything these guys sing about and it is real even in North Las Vegas. Go body count go.
