I believe the psychologist laughed because Amber lied to her attorney, the statement the attorney made, “she was so excited she told her husband about the case” is completely false.

I disagree with this body language expert on the psychologist’s response to the question about her husband. When I watched it in real time I found her reaction to be genuine and I clearly remember thinking that. She was almost shocked to hear this and had a natural response of disgust at the lies Amber probably told her lawyers. Anyone else agree with me?

I just completely disagree with Janine. She wasn’t holding back anything. She addressed the damn muffins. It’s obvious Amber exaggerated/lied to her lawyers.

Disagree with this assessment. Doc was very clear about the fact she told her husband she had a celebrity client but not who it was. She was running late and she asked her husband to go to the bakery for her. If you are going to discuss this segment of a testimony you must review all. Not fair to the doc. She was a very credible witness.

The Psychologist wasn't being deceptive. She was laughing at the absurdity of the Attorney. She laughed at how the Attorney twisted what happened with the muffins. Then she definitely described to Amber "We can think my husband for these muffins" - Your guest here is way off.

She was not being deceptive, she was laughing at the stupidity of the muffin topic that was so far from true. The statement about that is correct you are not correct was her game playing, mocking gently, the lawyer who had spent so long trying to screw her with every question followed by 'Correct?' .. so to use the lawyer's own words against her - 'That is correct, you are not correct' was witty and hilarious.

Sorry but this lady is so wrong. If actually watching her testify you would remember the lawyer constantly trying to put words into this doctor's mouth and with the constant bringing up the muffins IMHO the lawyer became a joke.

Uh.... She did go on to explain how the defense attorney was wrong... Obviously this lady did not watch the testimony and is blabbering nonsense on this tiny clip. What a joke!

It was about the muffins and Dr. Curry’s husband. If your expert listened to the rest of Dr. Curry’s expiation, maybe she would understand better.

The psychologist was getting tired of the nonsense, I think. She is smiling at the lawyer like you would to placate a child throwing a tantrum over not being allowed to do something they want to do (like eating the pet’s food or something). I watched a few times and cannot see any sadness and she didn’t appear to dodge any questions. It actually seemed like the lawyer was not clear in her “what is accurate?”. For all the ignorance the lawyer displayed, maybe the psychologist believed the lawyer was asking for a definition of “accurate”. I dunno. I have have similar misunderstandings myself in general conversations, so I can relate.

I read that smile from Dr Curry as complete confidence, as in, 'This is probably the easiest question I'll get'. It's the confidence you have when you know that there is a SIMPLE truth to explain another person's misinterpretation of an event.

I think the psychologist cleared herself. I think she laughed because she thought it was ignorant that they kept saying she told her husband based around the fact of muffins being brought. Explaining that part cleared up any doubt

She actually explained what happened. It does has all to do with muffins :) Just watch her full testimony and you'll understand her smile .

She did not withhold her answer. You cannot compare someone saying “who do you think I am?” to saying “that is not factual”. One is not even an answer dodging the question and the other is answering the question in a professional way. The only reason she's smirking and speaking this way is because she knows the lawyer intends on switching her words, trying to manipulate the narrative and she can see right through it. Gosh, I should be a body language analyst.

I disagree, dr curry was “giggling” because obviously she knew what a stupid question the muffins was and that ambers awful lawyers were trying to trick her into something unethical!! I would be giggling too but it doesn’t mean I’m withholding information just withholding my disbelief!!

Dr Curry was professional end of story. Ambers lawyers were out of line and even I was taken aback by the insinuations they made. This trial shows that just because someone is an "expert" it doesn't mean they know everything.

Re: the muffins…I felt that the doctor was trying to answer carefully because she absolutely did not want to directly call Amber a liar.

She did explain her answer. She clearly explain exactly why the Karen lawyer was lying. Sorry but you have a analyst that is not as expert as she says she is. Specially because of the way she says at the end that she is hiding something. I’m sure she’s not watching everything.

If you had watched the whole cross examination, she didn't just answer and that's it. She described the entire situation about her husband and what she did and didn't tell him. I saw it as, Defense Attorney, you want to be smug with me, I can do the same. Asking questions as if the bully it out of Dr Curry. She was a strong witness and likable. I'm sure the jury saw that too.

Very disappointed in Court TV. They have their people buddying up to Heard's PR guy in court and always have very biased commentators on their program! It's very telling which side of the fence their on. First noticed it in the Rittenhouse trial!

The response “that is incorrect” or “that is not accurate” is not only absolutely a definitive answer just like a “no” but they are very consistent with the kind of high, carefully professional language that the witness was using throughout her testimony. To suddenly deviate and drop the hyper-professional, sort of legalese-esk tone she had been using since she sat in the witness chair would have caused more of a red flag for me. This moment rocked my perception of either this persons abilities or agenda.

Wow. She completely misread the reaction of the psychiatrist. She smiled as she thought the questions were patronising.

I loved Curry's answer. I thought it was perfect.

The doctor has testified many times before she knows lawyers. Meaning if she answered with a simple denial i.e. No she would not have an opportunity to explain herself. What she is holding back is her contempt for Amber or her lawyers for trying to twist her words.

She has not admitted to her abuse towards J.D, nor her red wine addiction. When J.D was on the stand he was honest, precise, and answered questions. Amber was turning today into Lifetime movie.

Just remember everybody that body language analysis, like lie detector tests, have been deemed unreliable. Yes, we can often judge by a number of factors whether someone is lying. Sometimes we can’t even explain why we know, but cut-and-dry rules do not account for a lot of things.

I'm sorry i disagree. Janine Driver is one of my hero's but i actually think Doc C. is spot on. I think the way she answered was she was trying to be professional and to the look she gave after the lawyer accused her yet again of 'telling her husband' was her being uncomfortable (exasperated) for being told yet again that she did what she said she did 'not' do ...if i say i didn't do it and you go on again to say it again adding that i did it...i would be frustrated too.

The dr did explain what happened about her husband “knowing”.

Dr. Curry explained herself perfectly. If this was your favorite witness, and you were "riveted by her" you would know why she responded the way she did and the explanation for it.

Today we could see Amber Heard for what she really is, a very sick person, her performance was overacted, exaggerated, without control of herself, The worst thing that could happen to Johnny Depp was this woman in his life!

The body language "expert" is actually not the "expert" that she actually claims to be. First, the emotional state of Amber Heard when listening to the evidence of the Specialist was displayed in her movements as agreement with what was being said, and the lack of involuntary movements of surprise/denial/disagreement indicated she had already been told this diagnosis. Second, the Specialist showed classic body language actions related to wanting to be totally accurate with her answer, and her combined movement/speech/wording all confirmed that her answer was true and correct. Thirdly, the movements and speech of the body language "expert" demonstrated an overwhelming desire to fit as much information as possible about the questions posed into a very short time-frame, with an absolute desire to be listened to and believed ( the grossly excessive hand/arm/body movements/smiling face/facial expressions/voice tone etc ) and her breathing would have raised her pulse/blood pressure rapidly as she became more excited. I wonder if she was previously told that the presenter would mention the book she had published. This would have added to her desire to be more "important" than that of the subject, and explain her uncontrolled emotional, physical and verbal actions and thoughts. Her TFAR Thought Processing was very good, but not good enough to hide all the signs. With regards to her book, I say published and not written, simply because most modern day Medical Journals/Behavioral Books are written by writers under Contract with the name of the Contractor ( i.e. a Doctor etc ) used as the Author. It would be very interesting to have the subjects undergo Hypnotherapy, and from what I have seen and heard, Disney will be very worried about their situation when Johnny Depp wins his case. Unfortunately Amber Heard needs Specialist intervention and long term treatment, preferably on an island well away from all the trigger points that set her off. Her "acting" in Court is not acting, but her illness.

This analyst is wrong! Firstly, some people can easily perceive such questions as being lightly camouflaged insults; hence one can potentially expect in return a reaction of shock from the interviewees, such as “who do you think I am?” or "how dare you to ask me anything like this?". Secondly, the main thing I saw in this particular instance in Dr. Curry's expressions and demeanour was CONTEMPT. . . . . for the lawyers from Heard's team. More specifically, the vibes Curry was channelling were, "I knew that you lot would be prone to come up with some spineless sleaze, such as this. You must be really desperate, ain't that right?". Heck, she was not even surprised. That is all.

How does a victime of DV AND SA buys a knife to her abuser? Begs the man she was afraid would kill her to come see her after she filed a TRO? Goes the morning after she says he beat her violently to Coachella and does drugs and dance with NOT ONE INJURY on her? Once again I'm very disappointed in Court TV. Weak analysis and so biased.

What you clearly can see is that all the days in court Horrid wore her hair in a variety of complicated styles. Then first day on the stand she decided to just have a rather shambolic messy style - body language aside, no tears let alone the mucous that clogs your nose up. She has punched other people before. Re Dr Curry - she simply said that is not correct when the Barbara Walters wanna be goes on and on about the friggin muffins!

I appreciate and respect this woman's expertise but her excitement and energy is inappropriate for such a case. You don't need to be a body language expert with a book on the NYT to know what was going on there. Nope. She (Dr. Curry) was identifying a leading question that was obviously designed to trick her, but it didn't, and she explained, explicitly, the difference. He didn't get the muffins "for Ms. Heard," because she didn't tell him that's who it was. He got the muffins for Dr. Curry, who asked him to do it. Heard's lawyer is attempting to portray this as him doing it "because Ms. Heard," when in fact that was not the case. She's 'smiling' because she sees what the lawyer is trying to do (misuse her to misconstrue in favor of her narrative), and is not going to allow herself to be played like that. She's clearly intelligent and knows what to expect and is prepared to counter and not allow herself to be misused. I mean really, i wasn't there to know whether she told her husband who the client was, but watching the way she navigated that situation and explained the distinction has me as good as convinced. Although i'm not even sure the difference even matters. What difference does it make if Dr. Curry's husband knew Amber Heard was the client? The muffins were still obtained due to Dr. Curry asking for them, and had nothing to do with the identity of the client, whether or not it was disclosed.

As a sufferer of complex ptsd I can tell you it can be absolutely crippling. Sometimes I actually feel paralysed and unable to function. It’s nothing to lie about and no joking matter.

What this body language expert says is incorrect. Different people react differently based on how they grew up and how they express themselves or lack thereof. I know that if somebody accuses or attacks my character about a certain situation that I know I didn't do or would ever do, I would say, " Are you crazy? I could never do that! I may be a little dramatic in my response depending on how it came across, but it hurts me when someone doesn't believe the truth. I can understand liars can do this too, but this is why one has to know more about them. One cannot lump all body language being the same to everyone. I truly believe this doctor. I don't think she would be careless enough to say something like that to Amber Heard as her case study.

If this expert saw the whole testimony she would have understood it better.

She said no and knew they were trying to make her admit to something she did not do based on what Amber told the lawyers. The fact you did not realise they stopped her from clarrifying means you did not watch it in full and are not a very good body language expert.

It sort of just sounded like this is something she was grilled about in her deposition and she is tired of talking about it, and irritated that despite her reasonable explanation, they still brought it up in court.

She is an abuser...she even was arrested for DV of her partner. She knew what she could get away whuch is proven by her infidelities while married to Johnny. She's a narcissist and it saddens me that she now has a young child who has to call this monster, mom😔.
