I agree. If I'm reading something I can figure out a lot of what I read becasue I can stop to figure out the meaning, but when I'm watching something in Turkey I'm lost. I might only get a few words here and there when they are short conversation and they are speaking slow. It's very difficult, at least for me, to understand spoken Turkish. 😞

Interesting fact. In Croatia(Hrvatistan) and Bosnia that bended part of the stowe pipe that leads to the chimney is called akat(dirsek) and bosnians, some old grannies call it direk. I think it comes from turkish name for elbow
@fundacure2832
@fundacure2832 2 года назад
Direk is something else but it’s Turkish too means simply pole
@Apistoleon

Yes, " dirsek" is elbow. In Turkish too they use it that way also. Direk and dirsek have very different meanings.

Why is it burun, but in the sentence is burnum? I know the suffix um to say "my" but why one U is missing? Is it because the haplology thing? Could you do a video explaining haplology, pretty please???

There are certain words, where you just cut a vowel. Instead of burunum, you say burnum. There are some more, but they are quite rare.
