This video goes into the process I take from bare metal to primer ready to paint. This hood goes to a John Deere B but the same style of hood is used on all these lettered tractors. So the processes of body work will be the same.
I'm thinking of making a metal hood for a JD garden tractor. Do you have any recommendations on what thickness sheet metal to start with? I was going to go fiber glass and start with a foam core to build up the shapes, fiber glass the whole thing both sides, but now thinking metal might be the way to go. Thanks.
