I've surfed (stand up) for over 40 years, never gave bodyboards the credit they deserve. Not only are body boards fun, but they are a great work out. All I can say is if you have not done so yet, TRY IT! You WILL respect, especially seeing these guys. WAAAO!
I've boogie boarded ( on my stomach) for over 40 years and never gave surfers the credit they deserve. Not only are surfboards fun, but they are a great workout . All l can say is if You haven't tried it yet you will respect seeing these guys. Let me tell you something if you insist on shortcutting your way into the line-up do it somewhere else. Don't disrespect 🌎 class surfers and the heaviest beach break by showing up with a sponge. NOT A GOOD IDEA
Absolutely epic contest and year! Its too bad the IBA fell apart. There was a time when the IBA was pulling views and attention that matched any other sport. I seriously don't understand how they messed up such a good thing, the downfall of the IBA was the worst thing to happen to bodyboarding ever in my opinion. Nothing else in the sports history has been so detrimental and damaging to the sports image, the riders, the future of the sport and business. If bodyboarding ever recovers it would be an absolute miracle.
Hubbard tard lucky for you I no do what you do cuz I be ruling it k..not my style this bullshit.. unko R!Q as why Kaua'i.. I don't compete but yah a legend hoi😂🎉fuk a Hubbard haha my board bettah you know 😅😮😮
Sadly, it’s just a bad quality about human nature. Instead of recognizing what we have in common and bonding over it, humans always silo into groups. The second we have groups, the others are the enemy. It’s seriously messed up.
The hate comes from the 80's when lots of people with no surf experience started buying cheap bodyboatds and taking them to the beach. Stand-up surfers saw this influx and began seeing all bodyboarders as though they are all inexperienced kooks and tourists. Which is ironic, since any experienced surfer can easily tell apart someone with experience and someone who has no idea what they're doing. Also, an incompetent bodyboarder is way less dangerous than an incompetent surfer, so I'd rather see them on bodyboards. Last thing I want is a longboarder ditching his board right in front of me.
Sick wave, indeed. But Shane Ackerman paddled into a wave at Shipsterns that is 15-20 foot Hawaiian and unfathomably heavy and warped. Google the dude and you'll see what I mean. That wave is a contender for heaviest wave ever paddled into by anyone, ever.
@@Hindsight46 thanks 🙌 i am editing a vídeo when we go to a crazy slab here in Perú.. we almost die.. there was a Big rock in front... Crazy... Coming soon 🙌please Follow us 🤙🙏
I remember watching this comp, I think it was 2011 or 2012, it was insane then and it’s still insane now. The footage here will definitely stand the test of time with so many big names in bodyboarding. Thanks so much for posting this, I loved every second of it 🤙🏼
Great footage and editing. Music was perfect too. I don’t know how they land those huge airs without the boards hitting them in the face or hurting their backs. Always happens to me when I try. You should also make a video of guys wiping out and trying to paddle out in those conditions. I’ve almost drowned 3 times there in zicatela. Super heavy waves. Seeing these clips kept brining me back and feeling like I was drowning trapped in the impact Zone. Was holding my breath while watching haha thanks for the awesome video
I traveled the world with boogieboard, I get pulled up for extra check from xray of my board. I told them noooo drugs in there, it's just Jeff Hubbard signature with carbon fiber stringers!
