This is the first bodybuilding motivation video I ever watched. Now 6 years later I've nationally qualified and won a state title as a teen. I was prepping for my second show as a 20 year old adult heavy weight but was in a horrific car accident. I'm 4 weeks away from being cleared to being back in the gym and I start prep in December for an April show.
First video I ever watched when I got into bodybuilding. It’s been about 12 years or so and so much has happened since then. To this day I still watch this video.
“Pain is temporary. It may last for a minute, or an hour or a day… or even a year! But eventually, it will subside, and something else will take its place. If I quit, however, it will last forever…” love that speech!
drinking a protein shake and taking my supplements while watching this. I love the feeling of a motivation like this. STAY STRONG MY BROTHERS WE'RE ALL GOING TO MAKE IT!!!
+Benjamin Affliction i beg to differ wrestlers have to maintain certain weight to be in a weight class diet is a big part of wrestling you have to weigh your food check carbs proteins to make sure you are getting nutrition you need without getting out of your particular weight class as well as hours of training as a former wrestler with 2 state titles you can easily tell the difference between those who don't diet and those who do but I'm not taking anything away from bodybuilding it's just as intense as well as for a training goes
"If I quit however, it will last forever." That sends chills down my spine. Many comments on here are negative because they don't allow themselves to be motivated by this video and feel resentment because of it. Let go, let it fuel you.
The year is 2013. I listened to this motivational vlog every workout for almost a solid year. Put on a lot of good mass that year and had some crazy mad pumps.
I want to pay tribute to this video. Heard this over 11 years ago when it first came out. I was playing community college football at the time. The grind was real but this video along with hearing Greg Plitt always kept me hungry. Now I'm 32 about to be 33 and still wrecking my body as if I was 20. Age doesn't mean shit until I die. Keep on keeping on fellahs, until the day breaks and the shadows flee away.
seems like a lot of people on here think that its steroids that get you big...if you have ever done the research on them all they do is speed recovery so the person using them can train more over a shorter period of time...The fact that these men are in the gym 4 hours each day for 6 days per week? That is why they get big...its almost impossible no to take them when you are training that hard in a short period...People can keep saying its steroid when its actually the hard work, lots of food, and dedication that gets a bodybuilder that big..
Hey GodFather..Anabolic steroids do more than speed up recovery. They create total protein synthesis along with increased blood flow and oxygenation. It is one of the reasons these monsters are so massive and at the same time vascular.
ManThatsANiceBanana You're not the only one. I think Body Building comes from Dedication, and very very hard work. So much people are stereotypical about Body Builders. The first thing they say is they use steroids. They must just be jealous.
Oh please! Steroids builds muscles 10 times or more faster than normal. Thats a known fact. A man who works as much as they do WITHOUT steroids is the one to respect. No matter how hard one works in the gym, one can't get this big WITHOUT steroids. Stop fooling yourself.
This is motivation to EVERYTHING you are doing. Have the mentality to be the best version of you, is the key to everything. I do breakdancing and THAT is my motivation. Good Video.
1:35 MIKE TYSON I'm the best ever. I'm the most brutal and vicious, and most ruthless champion there's ever been. There's no one can stop me. Lennox is a conqueror? No, I'm Alexander, he's no Alexander. I'm the best ever. There's never been anybody as ruthless. I'm Sonny Liston,I'm Jack Dempsey. There's no one like me. I'm from their cloth. There's no one that can match me. My style is impetuous, my defense is impregnable, and I'm just ferocious. I want your heart. I want to eat his children. Praise be to Allah.
Man I check back on this old motivational video and I can't believe how stupid the comments are. Why did I even look? I have been training in martial arts for 11 years, I competed in my 1st bodybuilding show last year, and I have been doing competitive powerlifting for 2 years, and I dabble in Olympic lifting & strongman just for fun. Point is, you guys are immature as fuck. *ALL these sports are hard. ALL of them are worthy of respect.* As for drugs, "Drugs have been a part of sports since the 60's. That's never gonna change" - Dave Tate. Get over it guys. 90% of your favorite athletes are on PED's.
Agree. My friend Mike Castle, that use to play for the New York Jets told me "9out of 10 players are juicing, the 1 that's natural is the quarterback" lol
Success is measured by everyone differently. But no matter how you measure it, hardwork, effort, dedication, and discipline will always get you there. I promise you that.
steroids or not you must have balls of steel to train years after years and stay consistent on your goals and stay on track with diet, training, sleep etc
No doubt these guys put the work in. I'm not discrediting their effort. They work harder than anyone. However you can't get that big without taking steroids. It's just not naturally possible. You need those hormones to encourage muscle growth and repair. Again these guys put in the work. The steroids are just like the secret ingredient.
Unless you're going to a legitimate competitor in a sport and actually have an athletic career, I think the idea is for physical fitness to be one part of your life; i.e., you spend some time each day working out, and then you develop other parts of your life. I see guys that just go to the gym, or go to an MMA school, etc., like they haven't grown up, like they're playing like kids. You better crack a book after your workout and get a degree or something or you'll be the toughest fast food worker at your restaurant. Doing some algebra or writing a research paper after your workout, now that's pain motherfucker.
I agree with you 100 percent about being educated and we'll read but I don't think it's so much about financial gains it's what they love to do at least for me anyway I love lifting it's a very strong passion of mine but I am on your side completely in educating yourself but like I said if you love doing something you should do it no matter what everyone has one thing that they couldn't picture life without
I lift every day for an hour and a half. I work 12 hours each day as a mechanical engineer. I'm a father of twin girls.... I love to lift. Everyone should have some time for themselves if you like to get big.... do it.
Why do i see so many comparisons between Martial Arts and Bodybuilding? This makes no sense, like what are you guys comparing..which one is tougher? Because that is all opinion...Bodybuilding is not tougher for a FACT, and neither is Martial Arts. They are both their own thing, and whether or not one is tougher than the other is all opinion. You get the shit kicked out of you in Martial arts. You gain massive amounts of muscle in bodybuilding, and that requires TONS of heart and strength too. And no, not every bodybuilder is on steroids, it is not impossible to get big without steroids. You guys are all acting like Martial Arts and bodybuilding are rivals or something... This video is titled "Bodybuilding Motivation-Pain is Temporary", not "Martial arts VS. Bodybuilding, which one wins?" How did Martial Arts even get brought up? Just watch the fucking video and listen, geez.
Jonas Van Helsuwé look bro I'm not saying that they are not using steroids, the reason to why i made that comment was because of the way of which the person used the term "steroids". he made it out like anyone can get to this level with using steroids and not putting hard work in. I am not condoning the use of steroids to any average gym goer, these body builders know what they are doing and in body building these days, especially at the level at which these men are competing at you need that extra edge.
ManThatsANiceBanana LOL. If you want to visit the doctor 6 days a week for getting analyzed. Popping pills for liver, heart, brain, blood, etc. Go on and do roids. lold so hard at you. roids is like playing russian rulette, someone survives, someone dies.
ManThatsANiceBanana they go to doctor when they use, and when they are done. They dont choose to go to the doctor after a carrier with roids, they simply must.
Alireza Zadeh Steroids aren't the only route to getting that big. Some of the most world renowned body builders are pictured in this clip. You sound ignorant not knowing any of this. These people have spent most of their lives working to become what they are.
Hani Habbal really? I didn't know that ? so how come the Arnold is the best bodybuilder in the history of bodybuilding and every body knows he was using a lot of steroids hannnnnn?????
Alireza Zadeh He is probably the most well known but if you compare Arnold with the current Mr.Olympia, Arnold would lose. 30 years makes a huge difference in competition. Second, just taking steroids does not get you to this level. It takes the hard work and dedication first. That is why you will see many top bodybuilders when they first started as very small until they reached their natural limits. Then they might decide to take steroids to get to the Pro/IFBB level.
U call their muscle useless. They are training hard for competitions. They are making money from body building. Sure, they use steroid. But look at how hard they train to be a top body builder. I don't use steroid, but I am inspired by them than your jealousy comments.
I first watched this video in 2012 now it's 2023. Made so smartly that whenever you watch it, it gives you such high vibes like you can defeat an elephant in a few seconds. Immersive feelings 😂
