Another good day of spotting at PDX with a MAX 9 for Alaska Airlines today! This airframe is N913AK. Would have loved to see a regular takeoff and landing or maybe a go-around, but touch and goes work just fine. Flight: AS9910 (SEA-PDX)
Thanks! Indeed, at Boeing Field there's the added benefit of pretty frequent 777X test flights at the moment. I'm hoping to head up there sometime in the future for that reason.
Recently flew on an Alaska Airlines 737-9 and one of the most comfortable flights I’ve been on. I love how they have theirs configured. I flew on a United 737-9 and was cramped like hell since I’m 6’4. Definitely a good airline to fly.
Lots of specials today it sounds like. I saw on FlightRadar a 767 from Paine (BOE651) and not long ago I saw a Delta Airlines 752 (N666DN) from Orlando.
Yep, very much so. Amazing how PDX can sometimes go weeks without much out of the ordinary happening, then suddenly there's 3 or more specials in one day.
@@logansaviationadventures They're definitely a hell of a lot quieter. Depending on the amount of background noise there is near you, you might not even hear one passing over.
Agreed, though at the moment the fact that people died to make it safe leaves me with a bit of a bitter taste. I'll need to be sweetened up to it before I can really say that I like it.
Seems as though they’re just putting time on it...maybe to prep for entry into service. It’s a very expensive way to practice, since Alaska owns their own Max simulator.
