Coming from a hot tropical Surinam, landing back in a snowy and misty cold Holland, landing on the 'Zwanenburgbaan' R36C, CATIIIB automatic landing. Watch the mist and snow!!
At 500' you can see the 'Kaagbaan' R06 and P30 for Schiphol Staff (on the right side).
During rollout, check out the jet blast of thrust reverser ENG4!

Yep, it happens in real! Indeed, a little bit of extra pitch is already enough to make it a smooth landing :)

It is the speedbrake lever coming down (automatically) at the moment the main gear touches down. The pilots arm the speedbrakes usually during final approach.

On the 747, when the weather is below CAT I conditions, we always go for a CATIIIB autoland.. that's what i mean, and for KLM, the minimums are 20' then, and this weather was not on the CATIIIB limits.. that's obvious.

hey kitapower, ik heb geen idee hoe het in Australië in z'n werk gaat, dus ik kan het helaas niet zeggen. in NL kun je een opleiding volgen aan bijvoorbeeld de NLS, KLS, Rob van den Sigtenhorst, DFA, EPST, AIS en andere. Daarna solliciteren en hopen op een baan! Dat zal niet veel anders zijn in Australië lijkt me.
