Too loud background music. I'm not a pro, but I think it makes more sense to compare A350-1000 to B777 or even B777X

Having recently flown on both Virgin Atlantic B787-9 in 2022. And A350-1000 in 2023. Both very different aircrafts. Oh also this year flew on A330 900 NEO too. I personally like the A330 900

AND You have to compare the fuel consumption pr passenger !!!! since when has 0.0176 been bigger than 0.0207 ??? that deducts 2 points from Boeing. Boeing 787-9: • Average fuel consumption per nautical mile: ~5.7 gallons. • Average passengers: 275 (mid-range between 250 and 296). • Fuel consumption per passenger mile: approx 0.0207 gallons per passenger mile Airbus A350-1000: • Average fuel consumption per nautical mile: ~6.7 gallons. • Average passengers: 380 (mid-range between 350 and 410). • Fuel consumption per passenger mile: approx 0.0176 gallons per passenger mile

Earlier this year I flew A360-900 from Bangkok to Singapore ( the 900 is a better comparison to the 787-9 ) we flew back with 787-9 the A350 is a better quieter ride.

Silly comparison. They are aimed at very different markets with very different missions. They do not compete in the marketplace

@@B7_PILOT A more interesting comparison would have been with 777-9 which is the direct competitor. That said, understood this version is yet in commercial service and delayed YET again. Not sure Boeing will be able to recover from their mess.

A350 900 to me is near enough same size in dimensions as B787-10. Probably not in terms of performance though@@B7_PILOT

787 should be the replacement of the 737 competing the A320 A321. 787-1 150 passengers, 787-2 200 passengers and that is it. Then coming the new 797 from 250 and 300 passengers and that is it. Then 777 takes above. And 787 is a female A350 is a male, can’t compare at all.

2 different class of planes. A350 900 is nearer. But that still wins hands down. as Boeing is a smaller plane for continental flights , Airbus is in a different league. Boeing are not safe and have build quality issues. It cuts corners. It may have come earlier but it is not the same quality, it is a hatch job. NOT SAFE BOEING

787 : over 1000 in service, zero hull loses A350 : almost 700 in service , 1 hull loss. Orders 787: over 2000 A350 : 1400 You said which one wins hands down again?

The comparison doesn’t really make sense. A35K is most comparable to the B77W (or B787-10, albeit not really). Meanwhile, the B787-9 is mostly competing with A330-900 and perhaps A359. It can fly the long and thin routes, whereas A35K flies routes that are usually more popular. Built for different purposes, can’t really compare.
