Here's my translation and performance of Bogurodzica in Old English. The wonderful original was written at some point during the 10th-13th Century in Old Polish and is known as the first anthem of Poland. The lyrics, however, are universal, so as requested, I decided to put it into Old English.

@@servantofaeie1569I've probed how it would work in Greek and the issue I found is that the cadence and stress of Greek is so different from Germanic and Romance languages. Palastinalied has a very predictable and balladic structure which relies on its ABAB rhyming scheme and balanced word-stress (either syllable-initial in Germanic or penultimate in Romance, broadly speaking). Syllabic emphasis in Greek varies so much that it clashes somewhat with the balladic structure. Perhaps one day I shall find a solution!

I love this! Have you ever tried Old Frisian? It is fairly similar to Old English, and as a Roman Catholic in this neck of the woods, I know of a crusade most people don't learn about known as the Drenther Crusade. It took place against the Drenthe people by the Catholic Frisians, figured this would be an interesting lead for you that you could possibly do something unique with but either way, it's been great. My favourite music as of late has been yours, God bless!

I really find Germanic Christian music a rare find nowadays, so I've been addicted to your Old English and Scandinavian songs, my favourites being the Gothic songs and the Swedish Crusaders one.
