Old Video from 2020/21 season
Here's an old video I took of Bogus Basin's 3 Frontside Lifts Coach, Deer Point, and Morning Star.
Coach:
Coach was 1st installed in 1959 as the original Deer Point lift it served the area decently for 37 years. However, Deer Point's terrain became popular and was replaced in 1996 by the current detachable quad. Seeing as Coach was still in decent shape, it was relocated to become the current bunny hill chair, servicing the popular Coach's Corner run. Coach is a pretty standard Yan double. It has a heigh adjustable bottom terminal and a simple fixed return up top. As I am typing this, Coach has officially retired and is in the process of replacement with a new Skytrac Quad.
Deer Point:
Deer Point was installed in 1996 and replaced the old Deer Point double (which is now the removed Coach lift as of this year.) It's a pretty standard Doppelmayr (Spacejet) high-speed quad, it has a standard UNI-M bottom drive terminal, and a UNI-S return terminal up top. It uses all Doppelmayr equipment, towers, chairs, terminals, etc. This lift is running fairly decent for it's age, and I bet it's got at least another 10 years before it's replaced.
Morning Star:
Morning Star Express, A Doppelmayr UNI-G high-speed quad, was installed in 2019 and replaced an old Riblet Triple of the same name. It uses UNI-G terminals top & bottom, Doppelmayr towers & Sheaves, and the newer style of Ej chairs. This lift was a big replacement, as the old triple took 11 minutes to get to the top, while the new lift only takes 3 minutes, and is a much more beginner friendly lift. The drive is at the top.
