@NERD Incorporated - I wish he would but alas, not to be. As a long time fan, I've loved Deakie since the 70's. Loved his shyness and modesty and what a bad ass bass player and amazing composer!
It’s amazing that Gwilym and and Joe don’t really look like Brian or John but as soon as they put some clothes and wigs on they’re basically Brian’s and John’s twins
actually he did. Brian was there for the filming, as it was his project after all. He taught Gwil to play like him and Gwil spent hours listening to him talk so he could get the voice down. Which he did. Brian's wife was all, "whoa, young Brian standing next to older Brian??"
Awesome Video Life Hacks Brian May was on set for the whole thing. He helped with the dates and filming to make it more accurate. John and Roger are still alive as well.
william garcia Well originally Sasha Baron Cohen was set to star. Now this was back probably 5+ years ago. And some people, including myself, thought it was a good pick because unlike Rami, Cohen can sing - and sing HIGH. Just watch him in “Sweeney Todd” and “Les Miserables” to appreciate his underrated singing talent. But I heard he kept butting heads with the band, like they didn’t want to show Freddie in his final days, whereas Cohen wanted to tell the WHOLE story of the man. Since there’s no pictures of him looking like Freddie it would be hard to say if he would have resembled him more than Rami.
@@pretendthisisacoolusername3984 He was Rogerina in "I Want To Break Free" and in "The Great Pretender" videos. Roger had a thing about getting himself up in drag. hahaa
@@midnightrose2127 lol yes I know, he dressed up as a woman as all the others did for i want to break free, its just the nickname that was hilarious...👍
kadekyogananda idk have you ever seen the Freddie Mercury documentary? The Freddie double could literally be Freddie if he wasn’t in the ground. But in terms of actual acting and singing and shit, IT WAS EXEMPLARY. OUTSTANDING!
jmjeff77 yoko Ono above might disagree.. pretty much might as well not have said anything rather than something irrelevant to me lol.. know what I mean? 🙏👑🤣👌
The big blue eyes didn't help. Freddie had intense brown eyes. Also Freddie had childlike delight and was shy and intelligent.. in the movie they only show him as either sassy or depressed.
one picture is utter garbage. the parents aren't the same age in the comparison. they show mike meyer as himself in comparison to the real life person his plays.
Hahaha. They should have just photo shopped black all around the face, like shadows. It would have made the pic larger so they could have pulled it back a bit. That pic makes him looks like a blob fish with a mustache. LOL.
I knew that the main cast was a great choice but I didn’t realise how even supporting actors are similar to the characters they played 👏🏼👏🏼 mind blowing 🔥❤️
Well... Thats most expected from a 10years project. And wow... Still cant believe i watched it again and again, and still cried and the end. "Bohemian Rhapsody" definitely movie of the year.
@@justinnamuco9096 its inaccurate, i knew that., as expected. But i watched this movie for its Queen exp. Especially live aid moment. Looking at how the story goes, the director wanted the audiences to enjoy the movie. So they dont make it accurate.
No doubt about it the casting for this movie was bloody spot on. I read Brian May's son also thought his Dad's voice was dubbed in. This is how well the actor performed such a convincing portrayal of May.
Gwilym Lee didn't really play Brian. In fact, someone has a time machine, and they went back in time and brought Brian May to play himself. But they don't you to know, so they hired an actor named Gwilym Lee to do the promotion of the film! :-D
Some of the actors who played the parts were so uncannily realistic that you can be forgiven for thinking they were actually the real thing. I mean the guys who played Brian May and John Deacon were brilliant. Rami Malek absolutely nailed Freddie
Diurno MX if you listen to the soundtrack for the movie and compare, some songs almost sound the same as the original. rami malek definitely nailed the voice with a bit of audio editing (i think). his appearance didn’t look too similar to freddie’s, but i could definitely see the resemblance. i think he was definitely one of the best choices for the role
For anyone picking out details that show Rami as Freddie and that they didn't look alike enough, for goodness sake....they couldn't clone Freddie Mercury for the movie...They couldn't get an identical replica of Freddie. They did the best they could. At the end of the day would you rather have someone who is an inch taller, eyes more like Freddie but acted shit? I'd take the outstanding portrayal Rami gave any day of the week and get over it
Good to see they made the movie/documentary their way instead of someone else telling Freddy's/Queens story. Legends never die you will be forever remembered for generations to come.
@Venom Wolf He said (about "I'm in love with my car") "Well, that's the kind of song teenagers can crank up the volume in their car and bang their heads to. Bohemian Rhapsody will never be that song."
The added touch of irony is when Mike Myers was filming Wayne’s World the studio wanted him to use Guns and Roses instead of Bohemian Rhapsody..... we all know what happened and the rest as they say is history ❤️
Rami still did an amazing job & the Oscar said it all but I agree that he wasn't Freddie's exact double but close enough. Maybe they tried dark contact lenses on Rami to change his eye colour but they were uncomfortable, who knows. Anyhow with the many wigs & costumes Rami wore that sold it for me, I thought he nailed it also.
The producers found such a good cast. They can be really proud of the movie it's amazing. Even though some facts the movie dealt with were wrong, Freddie and his boys were great portrayed😍
The actor who played him said that it's really difficult to get any footage of him cause he was Freddie's manager. He said in an interview that you can actually see paul in a documentary about queen idk correct me if I'm wrong. You should watch Allen's interview where he was talking about Paul it was really interesting and Bryan said himself Allen's acting was so good it made him stay away from Allen cause he looked so good portraying Paul :)
But Prenter was like always at the back/side of Freddie in their parties and interviews. The villainy was oozing even in those short shots of him 😡. And yes, the guy who played him is really great like I wanna choke him because he's so much like him. Great acting really.
> Old Brian May. > Using secret astrophysic model of time travel to take young Brian May back to the present day. > Young Brian May playing as young Brian May at Bohemian Rhapsody movie.
@@ameliasy5355 Oh wait a second I think you misunderstood. They were saying what got taken out of the film. That doesn't mean we will get an extended cut. I mean I want an extended cut as much as the next guy, but it probably won't happen. The most we probably will get is some of those scenes in the special features as deleted scenes.
Who else wants there to be a David Bowie movie where there is a scene where he does the concert with Freddie and it’s Rami Malek so it’s a shared universe
