I really love this back-to-basics style with a modern flare. I’m always encouraged to see more creative ways to utilize and celebrate what comes from our scalps naturally. No shade to extensions, units, etc. I just think it’s refreshing to switch it up. 🥰✊🏽

The water dripping down the arms 😂😂 my great grandmother was a beautician and she used to do jerry curls a lot lol. I am very familiar with the “water” and product running down the arms. She kept going. Drip n all 😂

I had a braider just like you and when I lost touch with her, I cut my hair off and kept my fade. She was so light handed and had a great spirit that I miss to this day and it's been over 20 years. I wish there were more stylist like you and her. Great video.

OMG! I am in love with that style. My daughter was asking for individual braids because I did it for her once because I was sick of detangling her curly hair everyday cuz she "forgot" to put on her bonnet. I married an Italian/German man and my children have different hair textures but I will try this on them and it'll be fly...

Love watching you work and listening to your commentary! I teach ESL, and all during lockdown I had a 90 min class once a week over the phone. It's twice as hard as normal because you can't write on the board etc, but you sure learn how to put things in a different way and think on your feet!

The final results are absolutely beautiful!! Can't say I'm the biggest fan of boho braids, but this makes me want boho braids.

Hello Queen-Sister 🤗 You had me 😂 with the water running down the arm. I’m loving the boho braids. The way you’re doing them is my first time watching them done full out with their natural hair. Courtney(sp?)has fabulous hair 😍. I can relate about product build up. My scalp can’t handle it. All of the flaking & itching 🙄. I will cleanse my scalp with apple cider vinegar + water then oil it with a DIY oil combo which relieves the itch.

Right now I have this style (with added hair) and I looooooooove it!!! I’m eager to try it this way, with only my own hair! Thanks for the video! It’s encouraging! ❤

Y'all...I put braids in my hair for vacation and took it out in 48 hrs. It was to hot and it felt heavy in the heat (it wasn't actually heavy). I but some twists in my natural hair and was done with it. It is for sure my age! We got back yesterday and I am so glad I took them out.

This would work perfectly for my daughters hair !! It’s fine, but there’s ALLOT of it . Beautiful. Now about the crisp parts. I’ve been braiding since I was a kid and doing my friends box braids since I was 13. There were times I may use some gel. But I’ve found all that product compromises the longevity of the style. And puffy , fuzzy, itchy hair is never cute when you paid an arm and a leg to get them done in the first place. If I sound like an old Auntie, it’s because I am. 😂

I had my knotted box braids in for a month, I can't braid to save my life, Ive tried....I keep my hair thoroughly moisturized along with water....I want to keep them at least 2 months. ❤❤❤😅

I got these done on my natural hair (I'm 4c) and I told the lady that the little pieces that stuck out were not going to stay in like a single strand and she assured me they would and put pounds and pounds of mousse on my hair. When I left and as my hair dried it go back course/in its natural state so I ended up wrapping all those little pieces around the braided hairs.

Okay, this is the most beautiful hairstyle I’ve ever seen! 😍😍😍 I remember during the Depp v. Heard trial, one of the witnesses (I believe it was a hotel worker) was legit answering questions via FaceTime in his car! It was so hilarious because you could tell he was so over it and just decided to start driving away when he was done! He didn’t want any smoke and was trying to get away from that dumpster fire as quick as possible! 🤣🤣🤣

I'm not sure you'll ever see this as it's been a week and there are so many comment, but THANK YOU. I didn't get the braiding gene (or a few others) despite my melanin. I have a biracial daughter and was expecting some kink in her hair. Her strands have ZERO texture and it has just thrown me off lol. I stumbled on this boho braid style elsewhere just two days before you posted. My daughter and I were both obsessed. Your video was slowed down enough that I was able to do this. Can't braid, but I can plait lol. Anyway, thank you. My girl feels like the new Little Mermaid and we're both so pleased. Thank you! For any interested: I did the style on dry hair and then added water and product after it was complete. I think that helped me to keep install time down to 3 hours. She's 4 and her hair is below her butt.
