Also I feel like James could use a curtain sort of situation to make his nook even darker if need be. It's so amazing that the office is bright, but it might help his eyes a bit! :)

I was just thinking the same thing! It would be easy too, just a simple cutrain rod and floor length curtains, they don't even have to be super opaque, they can still be light and airy, but would give him just a little more privacy

Strongly agree! It wouldn’t even have to be a dark curtain. It could be linen on a tension rod!

Below the floating shelves, you should do a wall length of closed storage, maybe bench height. You could tuck the kitty litter in there too. It looks like you need more storage for some bulky things.

Caroline Kelly, that is a great idea! You can never have too much storage for an interior design business! Also, I think they need more coat hooks at the entrance. There is room for a second one like they already have. :)

@@susandickerson2663 I don't know if they will be bringing clients in to the office, but there are five employees, Including Alexandra and the part-time Xico, so when they are all there together (....someday!!!) another coat rack could be useful. ;)

All the closed storage is in the green IKEA kitchen cabinets. Since the floating shelves are in the living room and work spaces, I like that it’s not too bulked up with storage solutions.

yes, like someone has already answered I believe it is between the couch and the wall, but there is an older video (around 1 year ago) where Alexandra DIY a litter box for her apartment. You can search for it under the title "DIY cabinet to hide cat litter box in small space"

i love how it all came together! the risks you took paid off, but they don't even feel like risks because you created such a cohesive, fun space. however i do feel like it would be beneficial for james' nook to have a curtain or something ! the glare from the windows might get old after a while, you know ? you could even just get a huge bit of fabric and diy a floor-to-ceiling curtain that can be tied away when not in use. for some reason orange velvet came to mind??? haha but even something just gently light-diffusing would be nice. but that's a little thing, love the space!!
