Please join me as I share how I created these Boho Gypsy Lanterns for this month's Gypsy & Witch project .I used many recycled items including tissue paper , glass jars and other misc. supplies to create this beautiful, fun project. It is suitable for kids of all ages with supervision :) I hope you will enjoy watching and be inspired to create your own :) Peace & LOVE :)

These would be so very pretty at any outdoor get together, party, wedding or a romantic evening. I have to admit I was surprised that they glow this well!! The shine from the last spray is probably good if it gets damp outside. Beautiful!

The lanterns look so cool! 😍You could even glue one of the di cut fairies to the inside wall so when it's lit up behind her she looks like a shadow.

deco page is a great sealant but i learned if they is excessive rain it will peel so you did good sealing them now they can be used indoor or outdoors great pieces love them

Omg, love love love!!! What a super cool project to make with the kids, waiting for them to dry is the hardest part!! I wonder if a kite could be made?? So beautiful.. lit or unlit. awesome, Cali! Glad you are feeling better. :) Happy to see the E6000 warning, hun. So useful that stuff is... if precautions are taken. I can imagine these also with sunbursts for summer and a yellow and orange and red pallet just to change it up some. These purple and black and blue are great for the ambiance and chill factor... or how bout a seasons of the year represented on the four panels ... ooo so many ideas. I like them all in this video... the star may be my favorite but it has to be with the others for contrast. What a super project. THANK YOU for the demo on the tissue paper. I see plastic bags on my kitchen table in the future, and beautiful transformed tissue paper. Thanks again, Cali, love and peace projects from lantern light.. thanks! Back at you.

Hey Cali, Such a cool project!! I need more space. I've gotta do this....Still reeling from Greg Allman's death and reminiscening about about all the times I was in Macon laying beside Duane toking where Greg was buried and leaving guitar picks and berries. This was before they put a fence around it so there was total access and the last time I was there someone had colored mushrooms all over Duane and Berry's tomb...So devastaed and seen them so many times like you!! Gred was living in Sanannah where my sister lives and saw him around so many times. I also worked in bar with a girl that dated him many years ago......sorry for carrying on..Eat A Peach Fairy Star..Love ya..peace

Way cool! Definitely will be making some of these, except think a matte finish suits me better; & would trim off the rounded popcicle sticks. Love using the singleton earring as decoration (have several & have used them as pendants)! Blessed be! 👍♏👍

I've been at the seaside and I'm catching up with videos I missed. These lanterns are to die for. Yes your Decoupage gkue stuff is what we call PVA it's used for all kinds of craft applications as a glue and even a sealant/glaze to protect your work. It is amazing. ..I know what you mean about buying truckloads. ..I'm lost if I am up in Scotland and my sister doesn't have any....There's so much natural things like leaves, cones and branches with vibrant berries which compliment the colours of the autumn leaves. Yeah, off at a tangent again lol, Yes PVA/Decoupage is an essential!

I knew about the glaze but I had no idea that it made tissue like that! You learn something new every day. ..that is fantastic, I can use that coated tissue in so many other ways....I don't know if I'd have discovered that by myself. ...nice one xx

Wow Cali! What a great recyling project. I couldn't wait to try making some of the tissue paper " fabric". I did pretty good for a first try. I made the square lantern and with some of the leftover tissue I covered the shade of a small lamp. I'm so happy you showed me this technique. Thank you. Peace & Love

Fumes etc is exactly why I have been making my cabin/workshop. I can do hot metal work in the porch which has a roof and two walls along with the porch rail. I can put up a plastic windbreak if its too wet or windy to work, but I don't really want the smell of hot metal in my living space.

If you put the tissue on the outside of the glass jars and gave it a coat of glaze (we call it PVA gkue...I think it is the same as your tube of 'Decoupage") I like real candles and tea lights but LED has a place in my off grid cabin x

I don't know if you have read anything by Clive Barker, but your artwork has something in common with his...its lovely and I would be proud to have one of your works in my house:- I'm just too skint to be buying artwork at the moment lol!

I can't find the the acrylic misters. Are they discontinued and can you make your own if they are.

I found some on Amazon Patricia, they have all of the colors, here is a link amzn.to/2wM5FPQ And yes, you can make your own by mixing acrylic paint and water in a spray bottle, thanks for watching, Peace & LOVE

Hey Cali. I have tried coating my tissue paper like this. First side works great, but when I try to do the second side the coat first side would melt/disolve then sticks to the table/mat/floor. How did you stop this happening?
