Kumusta friends and families here in the Philippines. Welcome to a new episode of our daily Philippines Vlog
In the past we have tried filipino food and delicacies, explore world renown landscape in the Philippines, the friendliness of local filipinos. In this episode, we took another angle and investigate the Spanish Historical Influence in Bohol Philippines.
Welcome to a new production series here in Bohol, let me bring you on a countryside tour. This tour begins with visiting the blood compact, an artwork that was made to honor the first international treaty between the Philippines and Spain. Friendship bond by blood between Bohol Warrior Datu Sikatuna and Spanish explorer Miguel López de Legazpi on March 16, 1565. We picked up a souvenir of cute Tarsiers keyrings on our way out.
Next stop, we arrived at Baclayon Church Bohol, aka the oldest church in Bohol. We were stunned by the interior of the church with amazing painting on the ceiling, it was seriously breathtaking.

The Spanish friar was just the manager but the skilled workers were Filipinos who built the church.

Bohol is one of my most favorite island in the Visayas because it literally has everything whalesharks, rice terraces, waterfalls, caves, chocolate hills, river cruise, river paddling, man made forest, old stone catholic churches, beautiful beaches, dive sites, fresh foods, ATV adventures, butterfly gardens and the likes, tarsiers etc.The only downside is if you know not how to drive a motorcycle youll end up commuting alot of it and it can be very expensive whereas if you rent a motorbike youll be able to save money and you can visit so many tourist spots and off the beaten places

I dunno know which parts of the Baclayon Church were restoration efforts as it was heavily damaged during the 2013 Earthquake.

the Philippines has a lot of colonial heritage churches built by the Spaniards almost everywhere you go in the Philippines, each town have their own churches, I suggest if you visit again in Manila try to visit Intramuros the walled city of Manila, a fortification built by the Spanish and it is considered a city built by the Spanish inside the walls and considered the original Manila in the Spanish colonial period, you can see a lot of old churches, houses, buildings and schools inside Intramuros also a lot of museums, restaurants, fort and dungeons in the old walls that was built in the 1590’s, by the Spanish, theres also a package group tour there with a guide, and you can ride a Calesa or the Philippine two-wheeled horse-drawn carriage that can tour you around Intramuros with an area of 166 acres..a must visit in Manila..

I noticed how not - so - blue Alona Beach's waters are. It's not really one of the majorly - promoted water sites of the Philippines. Although the country boasts many clear and blue beach waters, one place where vloggers go, for sure, is at Amanpulo, Pamalican Island just off Palawan Island. Or, try Tablas Island, Romblon. Check these two locations on RU-vid.

@@project_where You would title your vlog, "1st Simbang Gabi or Aguinado Mass" 9 days straight during dawn, that's the challenge ☺️👏. Then you would eat puto, bingka and drink sikwate after the mass.
