Bohuslav Martinů - Variations on a Slovak Theme 

This studio-session recording, of Carvalacciduo performing Martinů during the early winter of 2022 has patiently been waiting for release on our to-do-list. We are thrilled to finally be able to release it!
The piece is based on the traditional folk song "Kebych já věděla," known in both Czech and Slovak cultures. Martinů's variations highlight the melody's nuances, allowing listeners to experience the folk song's beauty in a more symphonic setting. This work reflects Martinů's deep appreciation for folk music and his skill in integrating it into a more classical framework.
