Boiled in soup?! - The horrific murder of HK Model Abby Choi 

It's almost ten times more terrifying when it's not just one person who commits the crime, but a group of individuals. In this case, it's almost the entire family blinded by their greed, who went after one person. It's beyond belief. And to think she was so kind to them...poor Abby.

I feel absolutely crushed for her and her children and of course her second husband… She was nothing but kind to her first husband & co, and even if she wasn’t- she didn’t deserve this.

This case is truly heartbreaking. How could those people kill Abby, even after she offered to find different housing for them? It’s outrageous and disgusting.

We grow up as children to be scared of monsters and ghosts. Little did we know that the most terrifying thing to encounter in our lives was another human being.

Just think of her kids... Imagine growing up and suddenly have your mother ripped from you, then finding out that your own father, uncle and grandfather helped kill her. Not only that too, but dismembered her, boiled her in a soup, maybe even ate her. That is a different level of fucked up.

Abby did everything for them and then they just did something horrific to her?! Disgusting and backstabbing.

People are so evil, it's insane they are capable of doing such gruesome acts. May Abby rest in peace, I hope she didn't feel anything after the hit to the head and is somewhere peaceful.

What a tragic story. For her to extend so much kindness to her ex's side of the family and for them to have the absolute entitlement to not only murder her for making a decision on a property she herself owned, but to cook her remains is abhorrent. This poor woman didn't deserve that at all. I pray for her husband and children who will have to live the rest of their lives knowing what happened to their wife and mother.

this all happened because of greed. this is just so sad. it is rare for someone to be this generous even for their own family never mind ex family. the entire family was in on it too which is actually sickening. to even think about doing that to a person is horrifying. Abby didn't deserve a fate like that. i feel bad for Abby and her family and i really hope they get the justice they deserve.

I've been listening to a True-Crime podcast for sometime now and I've never heard such a case like this, what the Kwong's did was despicable and evil. The fact that they'd murdered Abby because all she wanted to do was benefit those around her is disgusting and I truly hope her family get justice eventhough it doesn't stop them having to come to terms with the reality that an amazing and bright person was taken too soon.

I believe what made this case so despicable and horrifying is that Abby trusted these people. She took care of them even though she didn't have to. She continued to fund their extravagant lifestyle despite not being tied to Alex. She cared for them in life and instead they gave her an early grave. The Kwong family deserves nothing. All they deserve is to rot in prison.

It's insane seeing this happen so recently. You never see such Tragic things happen nowadays because it's so hard to get away with and no one would even try. So this is really shocking.

Poor Abby, if this case were to happen in Singapore, the members of the Kwong family would have been given death penalties. I am heartbroken and my heart goes out to Abby’s four children. I can’t imagine how they will feel when they eventually get to learn about how their loving, kind and generous mother was gruesomely murdered by her own family. Disgusting how greedy some people can be. They were driven by money, and the fact that she promised to buy them a next flat and just sell the current one they were in but that wasn't enough is ridiculous. I genuinely feel bad for the police who went to investigate that house, and saw that. And they probably had to look at the soup a little more than a minute to realize what it was actually made of. I know that this is just their job, but I also don't react easily and can stay stone cold in disgusting situations but this could very easily be the straw that would do it for me. Disgusting and horrendous.

It's so disgusting. This is why you should always burn all bridges with an ex, they're an ex for a reason. Abby was too kind, and women are always taken advantage of while being required to always be perfect. I really hope all the Kwong are jailed with life sentences.

As odd as it may sound that the Tam family, and Abby too, were embracing the Kong family; I feel its mostly so that kids are happy and don't miss out on having connections with their biological father and his side of the family.

Abby was clearly a great human and mother she clearly had no reason to help the kwong family she could have just taken custody of her kids and cut all ties with them and yet she always helped them in every step and the way. I don't know what kind of punishment can be used to say that Abby and her family have gotten justice for such gruesome acts. I also feel bad for her kids, especially the kwong kids who will now have to live with the fact that their once great-loving mother is gone by their own father and his family, not to mention what they did to her body afterward.

Each country should have death sentence. I wonder why HK remove this punishment. These monster in law are cold blooded and also capable for doing a gruesome killing, meaning that they don’t feel any remorse at all. I'm waiting for the testimonies and what makes it possible for a man to so drastically annihilate another person. It is said that cooking soup was the only and practical way to get rid of the body because there is little space, no parks or forests outside, concrete everywhere and people living around, so it is impossible to hide the corpse otherwise. I often read stories where the killer chopped and cook the victim and feed them to dogs or (neighbor).. Im sorry but that's what come to my mind instead of destroying DNA, it's the perfect way to dispose body and cover up crime..

Some locals actually think that the case is not that simple as we think and there are more to be discovered.

Lesson learned, it's okay to cut off tied with family specially if you already moved on and have a new life ahead, stop helping people who doesn't help themselves

Some even said that China government is involved with masterminding this case and others said that Abby, the Kwongs and the Tams were involved with corruptions and money laundering for the mafia and it goes on and on; just pure made up lies. There is something else why she was murdered not so simple case, she, ex husband, both complicated families....that caused her life, her children are the most innocent. Due to their families complicated that cost her life. She maybe nice, support her ex in law, brother in law but the truth is not out yet. Of course no matter how killing is a sin. The problem with HK law is no death penalty so HK is a haven for criminals. Look at some countries for strict law and death penalty, if law is strict n got death penalty, it usually a safer place to live.

I feel so bad for the kids. The two oldest will live with the knowledge that their father and his family killed their mother. I wonder if the stepfather will continue to raise them. This might also affect their relationship with their younger siblings. Those kids need therapy and probably so does the current husband (now widow).
