Yep it does work much better to like you said pull big stuff out and filter down to smalls and scraps. Only thing is this little trailer fills up pretty quick...hahaha

It may fill up quickly but forces you to stack and clean up grasshopper. Be vigilant focused like you’re wrestling days. Peace

@@DanielAtkinsFirewood well he literally splits MORE wood than people that make firewood a legitimate business, and he's doing it as just a hobby. To me the 37D is the perfect solution for him!

Completely agree and it is fast - so even if you do decide you want smaller pieces, it really doesn't add much time overall.

Nope the radiator is on rubber mounts and will flex like that with the impact of the push plate coming back.

The pizza wedge is something I may need to get and try at some point. Would definitely make a lot of bundle wood in a hurry but would need to have nice straight grain wood to go through it I think.

I plan on it here soon.

lol...yeah it makes it pretty easy. It actually isn't all that loud....I think the conveyor chain is loudest part I have engine exhaust pointed towards back of the lot. Had it running full bore and walked halfway back to the house and wasn't loud at all.

That's a common myth. Smaller splits season quicker which is a huge bonus. 4 small splits packed tightly will burn just as long and probably more efficiently since it will be significantly more seasoned, than if it was 2 larger pieces of wood not split down. That's just my experience!

@@Dorchwoods I have many times tested that out I have used 4 split pieces and timed the burn and from the same tree I used one log the same as the 4 split and it would burn a lot longer hours longer then the 4 split . I have been burning wood from the time I was 6 years old Stared splitting wood at the age of ten but was working in the woods starting at 8 hauling wood . Our only heat was wood. Try it some time just for the hell of it take a season log of the same size split one and time the burn you can even test the heat it gives off then after throw in the other log same size and weight . Time that as well you will notice it does not burn as fast and it will not burn as hot but it will burn longer meaning longer heat . The lager the split the longer the burn . I think you would find it interesting to try and see .

I agree a larger piece last longer. It all depends on how you want your heat. If I start my stove I use small splits to bring it up to temperature faster. Once it’s to temp then I use larger splits. If it’s really cold and blowing I prefer to mix the sizes. It will give more BTUs faster with smaller splits because they burn faster. I will change how I feed the stove depending on outside temperatures and conditions wind ext. just remember 20 pounds of dry wood of the same species all contain the same amount of BTUs. It’s how it’s split is how long of a burn you get out of that 20 pounds of wood. My 2 cents. Peace

lol...it has one, just is on the other side of the log lift. If you take the owner's manual case and take the cover off, then flip it upside down it fits back in the tube but will hold a can/cup. 😀👍🍻

100% agree. That's why I bag my wood so it has a very professional appearance with wood that burns great, regardless how ugly it may be. Also, I only sell pine for campfires, selling hardwood for outside burning is such a waste in my opinion! Pine is fine!

At the end of the day, bundle grade and the twistiest wood out there all burn up the same.

You must have a really BIG boiler...lol...those rounds only split in half would be a nightmare to load. I'd rather move more pieces that are manageable in size/weight than struggle and possibly injure myself tossing huge chunks around.

Yeah it is far too easy now...lol...almost to the point that I felt out of place or that I was forgetting to do something...hahahaha

They build it so that it can be ran from both sides.

@@amandadavis9726 That would make sense if there were two people, but having the lifting table, that is the side I'd want to be on. If the start, throttle and probably most important, the wedge adjuster, were on the other side, it'd be perfect in my eyes.

@@number40Fan you’re right. I’ve seen people stack a bunch of rounds on the lifter,…and then run the splitter from the other side. I think it kinda depends on what exactly you got going on.

Yes it is adjustable to move up & down for some control over split size.
