Today I am coming with the review of Bois Belize Intense by Nicolai! Enjoy watching! Follow me on Instagram: @pixie_and_the_notes #boisbelizeintense #parfumsdenicolai
I've had this one for a couple of years and always think of it as a woody spicy with a tea rose in the background, so it's interesting to hear your viewpoint on it being rose dominant. I do enjoy it very much. Anyway, a lovely video and nice that you've been enjoying the fragrance so much. ☺️🌹
That is fascinating how differently we can perceive scents. I am so happy to hear you own and enjoy it. It's an exquisite perfume. Last year I have found two major perfume crushes whuch are both in my top three perfumes for life. I consider 2021 a good perfume-discovery year 😁
finally! pixie is back! 🙃 great review. totally agree, this is a hidden gem, a fantastic perfume from nicolai, among their very very bests. i love wearing it too (wanna sniff me? 😊), but “girly”?? 😅 right in the middle unisex imo. mostly rose yes, although i do smell some woods in it and the dirt (maybe the mate?), that you mentioned. they should definitely export this to other countries too. and btw… i love your new hair color 😍
That's what she said 🤣 Come over if you are willing to be a living blotter 🤣 As always I will be forever grateful for introducing this scent to me. Thank you so much , I am still debating wheter I shoud keep this hair or go back to red. We'll see.
Hello Iga, I have just discovered your YT channel. I heard so much about the Nicolai house but never managed to sample any of their fragrances until yesterday. I live in Paris and visited one of their shops here. I was intending to buy either New York Intense (I love unisex frags leaning on the masculine side), Neroli Intense or Patchouli Intense. I smelled that little beauty, Bois Belize, and all of my purchasing plans went out of the window. I ended up buying a bottle as it was the one that I enjoyed the most. But they have so many beautiful fragrances. I really enjoy Nicolai work and the fact that the fragrances are all accessible when it comes to price
I am so happy and envious you could visit their Parisian store, wow. I had had six or seven Nicolai fragrances prior to trying Bois Belize and I was never able to say which was my favourite. Since Bois Belize I had zero doubts :D.
Hello Iga, it's good to see a video from you. Bois Bélize sounds lovely! I love these notes. It's too bad it is a France exclusive. Have a fantastic day! - Jenn
"A scent that brings bliss to my heart" 🥰 Beautifully phrased. Really enjoy that brisk morning air vibe in fragrances. But a top 3 perfume!! Wow! Suddenly it's rocketed up my to-try list. 🌹Haven't sampled anything from Patricia in a while. But it's always a delight seeing you Iga. 💛More than a delight, a steeling giddiness. 😁 Ensconced in a velour blanket of autumnal coziness. 😂 It's true. I find myself remarkably settled watching your vids. Keep up the great work!
The golden mouthed Doni has arrived, ladies and gentlemen!!! You have a way with words, that' for sure 🙃 My pleasure :D I love a lot of Patricia's work, but here she simply outdid herself, but it makes me pissed that it's so difficult to test 😤
Indeed, I have never seen anyone mentioning this one. I suppose one of the resons is the fact that it can only be bought in France. I really don't unerstand why Nicolai won't bring it inro regular sales?
@@pixieandthenotes I am in the US, looking at the official Nicolai website and it says that they deliver Bois Belize worldwide. I'm wondering if it's accurate. Curious to try ordering it because just judging by the pyramid it was my pick of a fragrance and then I also found your review and got even more excited! Cold dewy rose sounds so good, and hopefully the dry down is satisfying too... I'm worried because most fragrances I try get demolished by my chemistry in a couple of hours, so when I find some formula that works, I stick with it. I used to be loyal to the classical black Narcisso Rodriguez and Kiehl's Musc, so my skin responds well to musc, and in general I have been struggling to find a new signature scent that would be natural, velvety, and grounded and wouldn't turn into foul and metallic tiring odor. I love Hermes Twilly (classical) and their newest Jardin (Un jardin de cythere) as well. I also quite enjoyed Atelier Cologne scents Vétiver Fatal and Oud Saphir, but Atelier Cologne left the US market and are no longer available 🥲. Recently, I remembered that Nicolai exists and judging by the compositions, I feel like I should give them a try, but it is so hard to pinpoint what they might smell like because people on RU-vid and fragrantica give polarizing reactions! I heard that their Patchouli Intense is compared to Magie Noir by Lancôme that I have and like in very specific circumstances. I loved to spay it on myself before taking a bath and that way it would create the most enjoyable air! However, worn casually and in a rather cold environment, outdoors, Magie Noir smells rather foul and old on me with some piercing note that steals all the beauty of the flowers and rice-y, starchy sweetness, it becomes too retro in a bad way and I quickly grow tired from it. This comparison scares me in Nicolai... As a person who is familiar with the brand, would you say that Nicolai's DNA is rather retro in spirit or does it vary? Is there anything mainstream alluring to Bois Belize's overall structure or would you say it is rather unique in its own way?
Oh it surely is. As to the plastic sleeve boxes, I really haven't paid attention, I was too excited and I haven't bought anything from them in a while.
Am I the only one to whistle along to the intro 😂. It does sound like a lovely rose fragrance. And that b-roll footage of the roses 🌹 ❤. But why is it only available in France? Quel horreur! It was lovely to see you today 🥰!
Well, it's how I perceive it. Some people say it's their favourite tea scent. I don't get that at all. I think it's definitely worth checkining and finding out for yourself.
