An ongoing Boise holiday tradition for our family is attending the Saint Alphonsus Festival of Trees, now in its 39th year at the Boise Centre in downtown Boise. It's an exciting and festive way bring in the holiday season.
In advance of the festival, hundreds of trees get decorated by local companies, organizations and private individuals which are then put on display for auction, with all proceeds going to the St. Alphonsus Cancer Institute. There is a formal Gala event, then General Exhibition and even a fashion show.
The Festival has a little something for everyone from visits with Santa, a model train display put on by the Train Collector's Association of Treasure Valley, an interactive LEGO display, North Pole Village, Scavenger Hunt for the kids, Art Contest, Holiday Gift Shop, Live Performances and More!
100% of the net proceeds generated from this event will be dedicated to expanding the services offered by the Saint Alphonsus Cancer Institute.
And just outside the front door of the festival be sure to check out the all new "Glide on Grove", an all inclusive FREE outdoor skate rink open throughout the holiday season.
