This makes 0 sense. All kinds of G5 teams have won major games against P4 teams. And major bowl games, which is the modern equivalent of a playoff game. Boise is 3-0 in major bowls. Utah was 2-0 prior to jumping up. Tcu was 1-1, and that loss was to Boise. The list continues with ucf and Tulane G5s don’t even get a chance because of a cheap system that acts like p4 is so elite. There are like 20 consistent p4 team that are good and then a ton of god awful p4 teams that couldn’t compete with the upper half of g5. “Power 4” isn’t special

First of all Liberty was 13-0 and did play only FBS teams last season. Remember from the AD up to the University Chancellor and President along with the Head Football Coach at Liberty all said the offensive side of the ball is almost ready but defensive side is another 1-2 seasons away from being a complete team that could compete in any conference and playoff contention situation. Liberty University and the entire football team said would be grateful if got a NY6 bid last season but didn’t expect it. They just wanted to get in a good bowl. Second you had several really good G5 teams that are expected to contend for a championship in conference play and be a contender for the G5/6 spot in the 12-team playoffs. They beat P5/4 teams in non conference play and in bowl games against Autonomous Colleges/Teams; that are expected to compete in their respective conferences for a playoff spot. Your statement reeks of ignorance and elitism and cowardice by far. Because there are multiple teams in the Non-Autonomy conferences that are capable of winning not one but two playoff games. Thirdly many idiots claiming that the A4 conference slates are tougher than the Non-A4 conference slates; which is not true nor an accurate comparison by any means possible. The non conference schedules are where you can do the comparison. But that means that the cowards of the BiG10 and most Big12 schools have no relevance or right whatsoever to say SEC plays cupcakes, when in general their first two non conference games are against heavy competition and last two games are the easy ones; as both Big12 and BiG10 conferences play two easy games in non conference schedules or cupcakes and maybe on maybe a hard team or heavy hitter but. But lots of times all three non conference games by both conferences are something to laugh at and disregard. Going to ten conference games is equally chicken and weak and avoiding competition to push false narratives and expectations for that matter. I don’t agree with that fallacy that all conferences should play 9 games or same number of conference games. I rather have all conferences play same number of non conference games. Or better yet, be some uniformity in non conference schedules in all FBS conferences with 1-A4 to 2-A4 teams and 1-NonA4 to 2-NonA4 teams and only the Non Autonomy Conferences and the Conferences and Colleges that play 4-5 non conference games can play a FCS team but cannot play the FCS team after September. That’s the only way you can tell who has a stronger conference and stronger schedule and stronger competition in records.
