Stephanie interferes with Donna’s unsuccessful attempt to compete for Eric’s heart. Ridge finds himself in an uncomfortable situation as both Taylor and Brooke openly vie for his heart. While attempting to get his mother to finally see Ridge for who he really is, Rick makes a promise to protect her. Ridge’s query about the future of the company gets Eric’s mind spinning after recalling his earlier conversation with Rick.

I actually do a gree with Rick a lot where ridge relationship with Taylor and brook is concerned. And I really enjoyed this storyline.

Thorne doesn't seem to have the fire in him that Rick does. Thorne from time to time also complains about being in Ridge's shadow.

Rick doesn’t have a problem with the others, though. They’re his actual siblings. He makes a great point about Eric and Ridge. Eric chose Ridge over Thorne in 2004 and Ridge is not even Eric’s son. That would piss any blood son off if they have also always been there.
