Lawrence really showed his acting chops here. He did his thing. When Carter said he had given up on marriage, I felt that. I think this was the first time we really go to see how much Maya really emotionally damaged Carter. She did a number on that man, so much to the point where he wrote off the idea of marriage. Maya really hurt Carter. This was Carter's first real relationship in 8 years. All that time he didn't have anyone. If Zoe was having doubts then she needed to communicate that to Carter. Communicate that to him. I will say it before and I will say it again. This was a blessing in disguise. The real love of Carter's life is on her way.

I'm sure when Carter found out about Myron, that was another whole situation to deal with. .His best was with Quinn. Katie a snoozefest.

@@kayschultz4113 Yeah Carter needed time to process that. It was something huge. I will never forget his reaction when he found out. Poor guy probably had to go to confession and needed intense therapy. Yes his best was Quinn and I will never stop believing in them. I cling to hope. I believe Quinn will be back one day and they will have their haply ending. I love Quinn and Carter so much I even started a fanfiction about them.

Zoe does not have many talents. But she gets credit for being one of the most persistent and convincing characters. She even seems to believe her own lies.

Great acting by Zoe and Carter, both of whom has had failed relationships, struggle to find trust. I know "Carter" is also a writer for the show, but they need to use him ore often, shows here he could be a Lead Actor. and Now he's just a filler.

@@kayschultz4113 This is what I have been trying to tell ppl but no one will listen to me. Katie really brings down Carter. That so called relationship he is in isn't fulfilling nor is it reward. It lacks chemistry and passion. There's no excitement. Carter wants and needs more even if he doesn't want to admit it. LSV said no matter who Carter is with, he will always be settling because it's not Quinn. No one will compare to her and he's right. If Quinn comes back tomorrow I can guarantee you Carter will go back to her. Katie could kiss that relationship goodbye.

@@kayschultz4113 Who says Carter doesn't have baggage. He has a lot of baggage. He has unresolved feelings and issues where Quinn is concerned and until he deals with that he cannot move forward with any female. Carter is still on love with Quinn but Katie is just like all the other women in her family. She thinks a relationship with her will magically erase Carter's love for Quinn. I am sure if Quinn returned tomorrow, ppl would be warning Katie not to get her hopes up. I am sure Ridge, Eric and Paris will warn her not to come between Quinn and Carter.

I wonder if Zoe would have really stayed true to Carter if they had gotten married..it seems she has convinced herself that its the life she wants with him. Zoe was wayy too deceptive with this situation for him to ever believe that she isn;t just trying to save face.

These episodes are terrible. I am watching some from 1987 and the writing is honestly horrendous today. What a snoozefest and so slow paced. I am barely hanging on so I can catch up to today.

So true. About 5min ago Zende could hardly resist Zoe and just did, because he knew that nobody would support his betrayal in Carter. But also Paris is only looking for the good life with a Forrester no matter what, she can't seriously trust Zende.

I don't believe Zende truly wanted Zoe or he would have fought wayy harder to actually be with her. He practically gave up after realizing the text didn't go through and just let things be between her and Carter as well as him trying to be loyal. Zende may also respect Paris more having seen first hand what Zoe was doing behind Carter's back. If he had gotten her by breaking up her relationship with Carter, he could also get played the same way.
