The problem is that every singer wants to become arijit singh nowadays coz he set this trend from phir mohobbat. But his voice in naturally husky so we love his singing. but the current singer are forcefully bringing this huskiness thinking that it would get hit like tum hi ho and phir mohobbat.

Pritam has said sonu nigam is king of voice expression and complete singer. Srk has said sonu nigam is his favourite singer. But he is still not getting chance. Arijit is a gift to this new age of indian music. Yes, you might be tired of hearing him again and again, in almost every song, but try listening to his own compositions and the songs he is producing now, they are so good. Like the song Rihaa. Or the songs from movie Paglait. They are all so good. You can see how much he has been inspired from AR Rahman Sir.

Arjit Singh is an exception in today's singer. He has sung songs in different genres - sad, romantic, party, patriotic, classical, semi-classical, rock, pop, rap, jazz, trance, EDM, arabic, metal, qawwali, sufi, ghazal ,devotional. Arjit is most versatile . KK couldn't sing classical songs like Arjit because KK was not classically trained.
No but Arijit Singh and Armaan Malik are very good singers...now,but only they remain.....And all are tatti rest......And like you the 90s to 2011 singers are also my top favourite now....

A singer's voice should be like when we press the play button,his/her first intro line should transcend time and space and we should enter into another dimension. The voice should be heavenly...I am a huge fan of KK. I love Arijit a lot. Even when i sing at home,i sing his songs most of the time as because kk songs are high pitched and I don't dare to sing that. I honestly feel among all the songs that came from 2014 to present... Arijit's Sawaare is the one which is beyond this world.. It has that charm which i explained above. Rest only one voice after Rafi sahaab and kishore da which transcends time is the Mesmerizer's voice KK. Just listen toh the song of kk which our brother has sung at the end of this video. It is out of this world. Listen to Tu mujhe soch kabhi, Guzaarish, Dil kyu yeh mera, Yeh kaha mil gaye hum and many more. I bet you will be taken to another dimension by his voice. Today's singers lack that. Only Arijit has kept the soul of music else it would have been a memory.
I think the reason behind the lack of experimentation in music lies in the title 'Bollywood music" itself. Bollywood music has always been situational since it revolves around the narrative of a film. Earlier, almost all Bollywood movies used to have songs. But nowadays, mostly romcoms or massy movies have proper soundtracks. Many good movies are being made but they don't have many songs. I think it's high time we separate our mainstream music from Bollywood so that aaj ke artists bhi apne dil baat music ke through keh sake.!

Sonu Nigam himself rates Arijit singh 7 out of 10 based on his singing quality in one of his interview and he rates hum self as 5 out of 10. As according to you Sonu Nigam is one of the best singers before so called trend in the singing, you can deny his opinion. I think Arijit Singh has best quality to sing all kind of songs. Pl listen 'piya tu piya' song. And he is the singer of all generations.
