I wish I heard more from Varun. But just look at him, he never interrupts, never speaks over someone, if he realises someone else is speaking when he is he always is the one to back off. Such a treasure of a person. Not to say that others weren't great. It was pure joy to listen to all of them and very disheartening that such talented people have to go through so much just to get credit for their own creations. Can't imagine.

The music streaming platforms were first developed in the West where usually the singer and the songwriter are the same. Also songwriting usually implies both the lyric and music. Unfortunately this structure has simply been copy pasted here without understanding the basic structural difference of how our songs are made. Also it is important to associate faces with names if acknowledgement and recall is to be created.

Such an insightful interview Rajeev Sir. The mutual respect they share for each other was such a joy to watch. This interview is important not just for supporters for lyricists to watch but also for everyone in general so they know why it's important to give honor where honor is due. P.S: Mayur Puri was a treat to listen to!

So much to learn from this conversation. While listening to their waves of views, I felt hitting the troughs several times and at plenty of points, I was on crest. But overall I feel new-age lyricists have a long struggle and fight to make their name and spot. But indeed an amazing session for every aspiring lyricist.

There is much more than interviewing actor and actress. Flim is not only made by them but also the people behind the scene .

There is a legal concept called 'Moral Rights' of a copyright holder. If they do not get their credit, which is the law by the way, the lyricists on this panel should file a case against the people who own the rights and the licensees of those rights (such as the streaming platform) and have this specifically enforced, and made a judicial precedent. This will go a long way in protecting all lyricists and not just some.
