The Band of Brothers set plus the new Battle of the Bulge set will pair well together to kitbash and compliment each other. Both sides will have enough infantry options to make diverse squads and will both have a light vehicle. Plus the paratrooper models on both sides have uniforms that can be used for regular infantry (US M1943 uniform and German reversible parka) so you aren’t even forced to do a snow theme or a paratrooper force.
Yeah good idea, unless there is a special scenario in the new starter set you will need another vehicle to go with the Greyhound to make and armoured platoon, but yeah the infantry can be used together, :), i am goingto use the new winter US and my normal US together, and use the different figures to distinguish two seperate Rifle Platoons, :)
Since the new starter for 3rd has a Greyhound, I’m assuming there’s some exception that allows you to take a single armored car for certain scenarios, so the Gentlemen’s War set is probably still valid.
nothing has been posted about it and it was a complaint i made about the new starter, but other were saying its just a starter to get used to the rules and you will play with the scenarios in the starter set, if thats the case then no, you will need another vehicle to make a armoured platoon if playing standard missions using the new platoon selector.
