Ahhhhhhhhhhh, yeah...... *melts* This is the type of song you listen to after a long, tortuous day spent with a veritable MOB of people trying to personally fuck with your inner zen. It just brings you back straight back to an even, happy place. Favorite lines, people? Here's mine: "You know what I am, so you know how I live. You try to look proud, BUT YOUR NOT IN THE SLIGHTEST! It's happening now and it's always been like this..... "
I don't particularly LIKE the singing, but I can definitely feel the emotion in his voice. This is the second song I've heard by them so far, the first one being Evening/Morning, and I'm liking them a lot. Each one of them is impressive on their respective instrument, and the music itself is wonderfully written. Bombay Bicycle Club: A+ band
I love how its as if they all looked at each other, and just decided "hm. lets play." and came up with something so fucking awesome, yet seemingly effortless.
in a recent interview jack said he had been overtaken by the "funktopus" when he wrote the bass line to this song, but either way, the song is a bombay classic!
i'm a new fan. just heard evening/morning last night. i'd have to say this song and evening/morning are my two favorites. their new songs are nice as well, i just enjoy how fast these songs are. chill, at a moderate rate. :]
Pretty sure Ed wrote his own bass lines. That being said this is one of the most entertaining bass lines of modern rock. BBC always has good bass lines
A melhor banda e voz de todos os tempos... Quando será que eles vêm ao Brasil? Acho que ainda vai demorar um pouco, aqui poucas pessoas os conhecem, ainda não vi nenhum comentário de brasileiros no youtube. Virei fã do Jack.
If you research you'll notice that Ed joined the band later on... I don't know if before or after "Always Like This" was composed. Jack is the main songwriter and in one of the shows I asked him and he said he considers himself a bass player and explained that was the first instrument he learned and then he took on guitar and later on, the drums... I'm pretty sure you are mistaken.
It's just sampled and triggered using some sort of response pad. It's pretty commonly used by drummers to recreate impossible studio/electronic sounds live. like the snare at 0:56, it's sampling an electronic sounding snare so it sounds different to his normal snare.
@resultofbrainbirth I think that's the appeal of them, yeah? They just seem like they're having fun...hangin out, just doing what they love...no big deal....and they are FUCKING amazingly good!!!!
