Dry Bombil (Bombay duck Pickle recipe) Goan recheado masala.
Ingredients:
1 Dry Bombil ½ KG approx
2 Ginger ½ inch
Garlic 1no
3 Tamarind 1½ tbsp
4 Sugar 1 tbsp
5 Salt as per taste
6 fenugreek seeds (Methi seeds) ½tbsp
7 Cloves 7-8 no
8 ½tbsp Turmeric
9 oil as per usage
10 Red Chilli (Bedki+kashmiri) 1small bowl
11 Pepper 8-9 no
12 Cinnamon Sticks 3-5 no
13 Mustard 1tbsp
14 Vinegar (6-7tbsp)
Recheado Masala:
Grind Red Chilli + Cloves + Pepper + Cinnamon Sticks + Mustard seed + Fenugreek Seed + Ginger Garlic + Tamarind + Salt ½tbsp + Sugar + Vinegar (6-7 tbsp)

Hi Julie, I tried the recipe with the exact method you showed, and it turned out so delicious. It's so easy to prepare and the masala tastes so yummy. It's a nice recipe to preserve dry fish and also to use it as an accompaniment for simple meals like dal and rice. Thank you for posting such a simple recipe.❤

Julie fernandes hi just noticed in your bhomil ( bombay duck) pickel.that ingredient name you have shown but how much to put quantity per ingredients not told and how much bombay duck taken for this receipe.nos. in kilos not mention.see that you keep all in mind because we are learner and you are expert rest good receipe

The biggest problem with goan cooking is that their reciepe is always incomplete without proper measurements of ingredients But I still gave it a like How is one to know how much of what is to be used

Yes it lasts for a long time but advisable to use before 6-8months keep it in air tight container

But u didn't mentioned about the centre fish bone whether it should b removed or not, bcoz the bones gets dissolved in vinegar n tastes muddy

You can use the entire bombil after cleaning up no need to remove the bone

Madam wat about the bone in the bombil, if added in vinegar it will taste like mud bcoz the bone gets dissolved in the vineger

it doesnt affect the taste coz u have fried d bombil before mixing it wid d raechado masala... we alz make it in this manner and the taste remains intact... thnku for this informative pickle recipe :) pls also share storage advice for this recipe, Julie Aunty

Wash in hot water and twice in normal water and fry no need to dry👍😊

Method of preparation is good.But quantity of each Ingredient exactly how much to take for grinding is not mentioned.Also quantity of Bombay ducks not mentioned.A experienced cook will be able to cook this Bombay Duck pickle but a new person who has never cooked will be confused how much quantity would be required

I have seen some of your recipes looks good but the problem is you didn't mention the quantities of the ingredients, if I try your recipe at home how i know how much to add for example :- red chilli powder 1/2 tbsp, turmeric 1/3 tsp you must give the correct information otherwise it won't be good so please give the correct quality of the ingredients thanks.

@@KomalRJPanchal You can try the Chicken Fry recipe as well with Lasun Chutney I've used Lasun Chutney as a multi-purpose masala you can use it for frying fish as well using same ingredients
