Im almost grateful bon jovi went through that dark, depressive period which gave birth to 'these days' album. Each song is priceless. So much meaning, so much emotion, so much relating.. just perfect.
They are a legend one of the few bands that survived from that era I been a huge fan from the beginning seen them 3 times in the 80's great times I wish I could go back and do it again
Beautiful track..i lived in Asia and the disc comes with a couple of bonus tracks..missed those days of going to a shop to buy new music from my faves & to discover new ones..☺
When I bought this album this was one of the tracks I couldn't forget and when I went to Wembley 1995 this was the album that made me realise holy fuck this band are the nuts don't get me wrong New Jersey and slippery when wet we're amazing but gutted if you didn't get this track on you're album so glad I did.
Helped me write poetry in 2010! My life changing, B. Jovi album ! Thanks dad, for the ongoing psycho chaos aaaaaand for taking me to the shop to buy a cassette when I was 5 and it had just come out...I shouted: BON JOVI
So funny because I always have to come here when on Spotify because they don’t have this song from the These Days album which was my go to album since I was 12 😂
We met some time ago when we were almost young It never crossed my mind to ask where did you come from I didn't have much money so I stole you a rose You were dressed like an orphan in salvation army clothes I never thought I'd lose you, nor I'd rather go blind I thought I saw a future but the fortune teller lied Your love was my salvation it could always get me high What was once holy water tastes like bitter wine I know I wasn't funny but you laughed at all my jokes When I was choking on the words to say you your fingers down my throat The first night I said I love you you told me to go to hell You were giving me head on that creaky bed at the old duval motel Just like everything good love has to die Ain't no sympathy when it says goodbye Your love was my salvation it could always get me high What was once holy water tastes like bitter wine Just like everything good love has to die No one even cried we were one of a kind Love left me stranded at the station and the last train's gone by What was once holy water tastes like bitter wine Your love was my salvation it could always get me high You take back the holy water now all that's left is bitter wine
Eu tinha 13 anos. Poucos meses após o lançamento,a banda veio promover o álbum no Brasil, com a "These Days World Tour". A sequência: "Slippery When Wet","New Jersey","Keep The Faith" e "These Days",é simplesmente fantástica. Sem falar nos álbuns solos do Jon (Blaze Of Glory) e do Richie (Stranger In This Town)também lançados nessa fase,e igualmente irrepreensíveis. Até o lançamento do single arrasa quarteirão "It's My Life" em 2000.
Concordo mas... há pérolas no Bounce, Have a Nice Day, Lost High Way e The Circle, este sim foi o último bom álbum.
This is NOT an outtake. The songs "All I Want Is Everything" and "Bitter Wine" were bonus tracks, which were released on the international album versions only.
Should’ve been a great double album even keep the faith and crush to but these days come out at 14 loved with 48 hours listening to it even as a t teenager knew it was I great album friends listen to grunge music and British rock bands I did the same but non job I these days I’d always go back to it was also to me was a bit of. Life changer understand ing great timeless song s like bitter wine ,lie to me ,this aren’t a love song if that what it takes heart’s breaking even something to believe in something for the pain lonely at the top I can name other out takes like when she comes and I wanna be your man hey god ordinary people other strong need not make the style of these days album but still timeless in my humble opinion there may not be a band longevity as bonjovi have been💁♂️👍
I've once heard an electric demo version of this song. Does anyone have a clue where to find it. This version was on the european version of TD ( this version, i mean, the one posted here - this brilliant acoustic song)
Exatamente. Esta música é a última faixa do CD These Days.
