I had Alleluia by Bon Jovi played at my husband’s funeral last week right before we walked in. So moving, loved it so much and meant the world to me. My husband would’ve loved it! 🙏🏻😥
My mom lived with me the last 7 yrs. of her life. I heard, & watched the video several times. I shared it with her, & she really loved it. She had the beginning of Alzheimer's and dementia, but she remembered that song. She passed away March 14, 2023. So I specifically had Hallelujah played at her funeral. Thank you Bon Jovi for your beautiful tribute to my momma. ♥️
I LOVE Bon Jovi! Have since the 1st album! Been to many of their concerts! But I can no longer hear this song without hearing the Pentatonix version anymore......
We played this song for my mom when she was dying. She had been unconscious for days on morphine. One lone tear rolled down her cheek when I played this for her. I love you Mom forever. 1944-2022.
I played this song at my husband's funeral as they were bringing him in for the service. Never forget it beautiful and on the way out was thank you for loving me. My favorite song in the world. Love you, John
The chances of miracle can happen and the tragedy also can be happening. wheater the 3 possibility -You will be saved -Tragedy happening -You will happen to reach miracle to see the christ hanging way his hands for you to show the way before your final breath Wheather the three possibility i convinced The christ will always be in your side✊
Spirit is like water, it cannot be destroyed. Water becomes solid ice, it becomes a vapor that rises into the heavens and returns as a liquid called rain. The human body like the earth is 70% water. The spirit housed in flesh has a worldly experience on earth, it leaves the body like a vapor going up into the heavens only to return to the spirit world and flow like a liquid through time and space young and beautiful, because it is only the flesh that we damage with our bad choices, and it is only the flesh that is destroyed when the spirit leaves. But the spirit lives eternally.
On March 19 he was photographed washing dishes in the back of his restaurant in Red Bank, New Jersey. The nonprofit community restaurant is run by the Jon Bon Jovi Soul Foundation and focuses on serving in-need customers in three locations across New Jersey. The restaurants don't charge for meals, nor do they list prices on their menus; instead, they ask patrons who can pay a suggested donation to subsidize the cost for those who can't afford to pay. Diners are also given the option to put in time at the restaurant to work for their meal, though the restaurant is currently not accepting volunteers because of concerns over COVID-19, the disease caused by the novel coronavirus. This is admirable to me, and I thought I'd let others hear about it, in case you didn't know.
Letra: Now I've heard there was a secret chord That David played, and it pleased the Lord But you dont really care for music, do you? It goes like this, the fourth, the fifth The minor falls, the major lifts The baffled king composing Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Your faith was strong but you needed proof You saw her bathing on the roof Her beauty and the moonlight overthrew her She tied you to a kitchen chair She broke your throne, and she cut your hair And from your lips she drew the Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Well, maybe there's a God above As for me all I've ever learned from love Is how to shoot somebody who outdrew you But it's not a crime that you're hear tonight It's not some pilgrim who claims to have seen the Light No, it's a cold and it's a very broken Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Instrumental Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Well people I've been here before I know this room and I've walked this floor You see I used to live alone before I knew ya And I've seen your flag on the marble arch But listen love, love is not some kind of victory march, no It's a cold and it's a broken Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah There was a time you let me know What's really going on below But now you never show it to me, do you? And I remember when I moved in you And the holy dove she was moving too And every single breath we drew was Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Now I've done my best, I know it wasn't much I couldn't feel, so I tried to touch I've told the truth, I didnt come here to London just to fool you And even though it all went wrong I'll stand right here before the Lord of song With nothing, nothing on my tongue but Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah
Too beautiful! John Bon Jovi singing Hallelujah sends shivers up my spine so sublime is this masterpiece of Leonard Cohen’s song. Beauty out of this realm just like John Bon Jovi … just beautiful .., words fail Fiona

Still listening on Jan 1, 2022. Alone. In bed with my two sweet cats. A Happy, safe, peaceful, healthy, prosperous New Year to all. Hugs and lots of love to all. Beautiful rendition of this beautiful song sung by the beautiful Jon Bon Jovi. Happy 2022. Hang in. I’ll be 74 yrs old....losses, grief, trauma, chaos, on my own most of my life. And I’m still here. Just keep taking one step at a time. You can all survive the chaos, the ignorance, the lunacy, the hate, the anger, the heartache, the pain, the pandemic...... all of it. It’s like climbing up Mount Everest. That’s a great simile of my life. Many lives. Hold on. When it’s time to let go.....just let go. But....wait...until it’s your turn to exit this lifetime. Sending healing love and healing energy to all (both human and non human).💖💫🙏🏻🥰 Remember....we’re all just visiting. Let’s try to be kind to each other. And cherish each day...and each night.....and all the moments.💕
I'm listening to this version for the first time today (11/4/20). Until today I was convinced that the best version is performed by the a Capella group Pentatonix, which is unbelievable, but this now takes the top spot. And find an interview with the songwriter -- the song's meaning may not be what you think
Look up the Stable Song by Gregory Alan Isakov. This used to be my favorite song until I listened to the Stable Song. Both are amazing in their own way. My wife walked down the Isle to an instrumental version of Hallelujah
This is one of the most beautiful renditions of this song I've ever heard. So much talent here, and the soaring vocals give me chills. Jon literally BECOMES this song as he sings it. The singer and the song combine with grace and tenderness in this performance and is almost ethereal.
This rendition is both beautiful and sad. You can feel the passion poured into the performance course through you, as though you shared the stage alongside Bon Jovi!!!! ❤
this is one of the best songs ever written but this is far from the best version. bonjovi is an incredible artist but he doesnt have the vocal range to really dig into the song. he should stick to his bed of roses if he wants to sing emotional songs
+Matt Luongo Amen Brother! That's coming from an Atheist. There is a documentary on the band and how they have been able to break through to last as long as they are. I am sorry I can't think of the name. if you Google it. it was really good.
+dynelol - I think maybe you're just a little jealous of Jon. With good reason, he's one of the most beautiful creatures to ever walk this Earth. Don't hate... ;)
+C maineiac Hate? I've been a fan of his music for a decades, but facts are facts. Bruce Springsteen is awesome too but he makes a lot of faces that make him look constipated.
You make such a beautiful point. He is truly like no other. I've heard at least a dozen other singers/groups perform this song. His is my favorite. He makes me feel the song, not merely listen to it.
Lisa; God bless His faith in you. - "He is risen! Hallelujah!" The best news in the history of the lost world! - We are sent by God to all the earth! We have good news! Jesus Christ sent us. He empowers us by God the Holy Spirit in us. - There is no greater praise for the Glory of God than the blessed truth of his word. - Romans chapter 10: verse 17 Then faith comes from hearing and hearing by the word of God. - Romans 10: 13 For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. 14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how will they believe in the one from whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher? 15 And how will they preach if they are not sent? as it is written, how beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace and bring good news of good things! - JESUS GAVE US THE GOSPEL TO SHARE WITH THE WORLD. - And he said to them: Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. Mark chapter 16: verse 15 - Believe - Isaiah chapter 7: verse 14: Therefore, the Lord himself will give you a sign; Behold, a virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel, which means: Hebrew: עִמָּנוּאֵל, "God with us" in human flesh as man but without sin. His shed blood would eventually pay the price of all sins of all sinners! And he would be crucified and die and rise from the dead on the third day. Jesus had to die. His death, burial, resurrection and shedding of his sinless blood were necessary to pay all sins once and for all. (See * 1 Cor. 15: 3-4 and * Ephesians 1: 7 below) - John 3 16 For God loved the world so much that he gave his only-begotten Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him can be saved. - "All have sinned, and are destitute of the glory of God." Romans chapter 3: verse 23 - "The wages of sin is death, but God's free gift is eternal life in Christ Jesus, our Lord." Romans chapter 6: verse 23 - "I am the way, the truth and the life: nobody comes to the Father except through me." (John 14.6) - "... Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and was buried, and on the third day he rose again according to the Scriptures" 1 Cor. 15: 3-4 - "In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace." Ephesians 1: 7 - "Because this is my blood from the New Testament, which is shed for many for the forgiveness of sins." Matthew chapter 26: verse 28 - Ephesians 2: 8-9 "Because it is by grace that you have been saved by faith, and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God, not by works, so that no one can boast." - Romans 10: 9 If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God raised him from death, then you will be saved. 10 For with the heart man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 13 For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. - "Salvation, the forgiveness of sins, is available to anyone who trusts in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Those who have rejected the free gift of salvation (see John 3: 16-17 above) according to the Gospel of Jesus Christ they will suffer the judgment on their sins and the eternal separation from God and the Family of God on earth and in Heaven forever. - "Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ." Romans 5: 1
I suffered from infertility tried for so many years to get pregnant. I always prayed to god to please bless me with a child. I was watching a mother play with her son on tik tok one day I cried and screamed to God "God please give me a child!!!!!" that same day something in me told me to take a pregnancy test... it came back positive! I couldnt believe it I was in tears and in shock!I took more pregnancy tests and they all came back positive! A week after I found out I was pregnant I found a cross necklace a few steps away from where I worked at and I then knew it was really God all along and never left my side. I now have a 11 month healthy beautiful baby boy. He's turning 1 in a few days! God is good!
That is awesome. My sister had a bunch of surgery done in her uterus. She was absolutely crushed because she wanted a child so bad and was now told she would never be able to have one. She tried and tried and tried and tried with her husband, and the doctor told her it's impossible. And it was. But as the Bible teaches with God all things are possible. And for all of the people that think I'm stupid for believing that, I just smile and pray for you because I believe that your knee will bow, and that there will come a day when you will plead with our great creator, and he will say depart from me for I never knew you. Anyway, she was praying about it everyday. One day she woke up from a dream crying. She was crying because in the dream God told her she was pregnant with a son, but she woke up to find out it was not true, only a dream. Sometime later (a few weeks) she started having early pregnancy signs. She gave birth to my nephew Wyatt. He's an awesome kid. Well he's in his late teens now. And a Chess Master!
Love this version. Best yet. Really touches my soul and heart. One of my favorite songs. 1st time hearing Bon Jovi's version i have to add and this is perfect❤
Just when I thought Bon Jovi had done all the great music possible, I came across this one. Bon Jovi is a legend in my eyes! Absolutely Amazing. Love you Bon Jovi, keep up the great work.❤
Am about to turn 31 in few minutes time. It's been a tough year, divorce, gave myself to alcohol and other wrong things because of stress and depression But I can say God has been good to me.... Hallelujah unto to Him and happy birthday to me in advance (11 December 1988) 🙏🙏🙏
Jon Bon Jovi is an amazing artist anyway but my god this version is outstandingly beautiful, it can bring tears to your eyes. You feel every word Jon is singing
Dec. 7th, 2020 -- To All Our Jewish Friends - HAPPY HANUKKAH - MERRY CHRISTMAS. Christmas is the answer to the poignant lament I hear in these lyrics. CS Lewis said: "Were It Not For Jesus Christ; It Would Be Always WINTER; but never CHRISTMAS."
I kept singing his song on my 18 and 20s.... until now.... I am 49..... I still listen to his singing.... wonder how is Bon Jovi now. Hoping to see Bon Jovi someday with my eyes.... I can only pray because I know I can't.
I was never a Bon Jovi fan, but I did meet him once at a Holiday Inn in the early 80's. He and the band were really great people. They played in the arcade with a group of kids. I gained a lot of respect for him then. He is really good here.
Of all the many covers of this perfect song, Bon Jovi's version is the only one that makes me feel the musicians understand what it is. Most artists' interpretations are too sweet, too gentle, too melodic, too soaring..something. This is in fact a very beautiful but deeply bitter song, and these guys nail that. Others may have made it sound better, but these guys made it feel right.
I so love Jon Bon Jovi's version. Very soulful. This makes me cry. I can listen to this song all day. God bless everyone who listen to this song. ❤️❤️❤️
I wonder if Leonard Cohen had any idea, whatsoever, when he wrote this tune, that it would become not only a timeless classic, but that it would have been covered by so many, as well as such a vast array of, wonderful artists? Bon Jovi certainly does the song justice. Beautiful!
