I'm a huge Bon Jovi fan but this song was always one of my least favourites, Tommy just fixed it for me, lol. Seriously, I love that he made it his own while still respecting the original
Thanks! I think fame makes people a-holes, but Tommy doesn't come across that way. Someone else you might enjoy is Erik Gronwall (don't know if I have mentioned him before). He just dropped a cover of "Dream On" (Aerosmith). He has done "I Will Always Love You" (Whitney Houston/Dolly Parton) and "Without You" (Mariah Carey). He has also doe collabs with Tommy (Carolus Rex) and Dan (Breaking The Silence) on their channels. Ramble on!
I enjoy your reactions very much. Thanks. Tommy is a great singer and musician. and so were Bon Jovi. That being said, this will not make it into my top favorites of Tommy's catalog. I'm not sure why.
Well, the fact that the cover can be different from the original I think it's a good thing. I'm annoyed by those cover bands that replicate the original song as it was recorded in the studio. It's very better that an artist covers a song in its own style instead.
