@@g-wolfoutdoors8150 I'm thinking worst case scenario that will fix any issues I may have. Looks like I can get a seven amp hour battery that only weighs 3 lb, for 20 bucks. Definitely not going to break the bank, or tip the boat
I car top on a lifted jeep wrangler so I always have to break everything down and pack it in the cargo area. I only have the kayak loaded on top. So it is usually about 15 minutes to unpack and setup at the lake.
@@g-wolfoutdoors8150 that’s not bad at all. I think the one I got is a deep cycling battery. It was $100 and it’s heavy as shit. Is it a different between that and a lithium battery. Honestly mines last for awhile. I only use it for a trolling motor on my jon boat. I can fish 3 hours let it sit for a week and go back and fish 3 or 4 hours. It’s jus to heavy to be carrying back and forward. I ordered the old town sportsman powered by Mk. Planning to use what I got cuz everyone say lithium batteries are high. I’m willing to pay $120 for a better and lighter battery.
@@tryingtogetthere1653 to be clear I am running a lithium battery for my fish finder that is the small 10 AH and it cost $120. My main battery is a cheap Walmart deep cycle 100 AH group 24 that was under $100. The lithium batteries that can be used for trolling motors are closer to $500 or more.
