Pierce Brosnan actually won a G-Phoria: Glow Award for 'Best Voice Performance - Male' in 2004 regarding this game. Also, people make comments about his voice acting. But in interviews from that time, he actually said that he loved it and that it was great to be back as Bond. He especially loved this other aspect since he was so used to the live-action stuff as Bond. By the way, Pierce doesn't say too much during gameplay because the game had the whole "YOU control Bond, YOU are Bond" thing going for. John Cleese has lots more lines because the player is meant to feel bond-ed with Q as if the player was Bond. It's a shame Pierce got booted as Bond not too long after the release of this game. He was actually going to do another Bond-game, candy for the fans until the release of the new movie with the new Bond. But its producing team didn't think it was lucrative to keep Pierce while there is hype for the new Bond. They saw something in Sean Connery instead. 'From Russia With Love' replaced that project. Anyway, love your channel and I've been especially enjoying the Bond-games. Keep it up, you make great content! ✌🏻👊🏻
Nice bit of Bond lore, very interesting. Thanks! Not too familiar with the Brosnan films myself as I was pretty young when they came out but hey, maybe I'll give them a watch at some point. I really like the Daniel Craig Bond films, especially Skyfall. Haven't seen the latest one yet though.
@@DBswag_ Glad you enjoyed it. You're welcome! Ah man, I haven't seen the latest one either. I love the Pierce Brosnan movies, along with the Timothy Dalton ones my favourites I'd say. Although I highly enjoy the others as well! I thought Daniel Craig was awesome and I'm thankful for what we got to see. Yeah, Skyfall was great I agree! Of the movies with Pierce, I like all of them really. Even his last one 'Die Another Day'. That one is critically bashed as the worst Bond-movie overall. I don't care, I love that movie. I think his first movie 'Goldeneye' is the strongest of the ones he did. I hope you'll eventually watch them, you might enjoy them. Though they are very different (in tone, scripts and such) from the later movies with Daniel. Although 'Goldeneye' is pretty close... By the way, the car in this game is the exact same one as in the previous adventure 'Die Another Day'! The car there also says 'KE02 EWW' on its license plate.
@@michaellogmans4330 Yeah Timothy Dalton is pretty great in most of the stuff he's done, really like his voice too. So cool sounding! My dad really likes the couple of films he did too. I know the Brosnan films have more of a gadget theme to them, sort of like the Roger Moore movies did, but hopefully not as corny as those were... I'll definitely give them a watch, got a long list of films I need to get through though. So many movies, so little time. Anyway nice talking to you, hope the rest of your day treats you well.
@@DBswag_ Haha that's awesome. Yeah his voice is certainly something. Reminds me, Goldeneye was originally written with Timothy in mind. Not sure if you were aware of that already. Timothy's last Bond movie was in '89 but was technically still Bond until 1994. Like he did a commercial, had his own videogame as Bond and such in-between. Timothy was asked to do Goldeneye plus a few more, but Timothy only wanted to do one more. So he passed on the role. I'm pretty sure you'll recognize some "Dalton-vibes" when you watch Goldeneye. Hm, I'd say the Brosnan movies is a mix of the Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton and Daniel Craig eras. But in the end, you have to see it for yourself. Enjoy the viewings! I always appreciate a nice talk so thank you! I wish you the same back to you~
Gotta say micky that i really like your new videos, TES memes are good but how you joke about every game is what makes fun to watch your channel. Keep up the lord's work.
Pierce Brosnan deserves another chance at Bond, they should do a 007: No Way Home where all the Bonds (minus 2, ripe) come in from parallel universes to fight the Green Goblin from Everything or Nothing. And thank you for that 12:00 nostalgia for all six of the monsters inc: scare island fans out there
While not being exactly what you've asked for, *'Casino Royale' made in 1967* is likely the closest thing to a Bond multiverse movie you'll find at the moment. Now I haven't seen the film so I can't tell you what I think of it personally however I can give you a brief overview in case you want to give it a watch. The film is a comedy/parody loosely based on the James Bond Novel 'Casino Royale' & features multiple characters all pretending to be James Bond in order to foil the badguy's master plan. These faux-Bonds are meant to parody the character of James Bond & the idea of masculinity in general (or at least that's what I got from the film description). Here's a short description for the film I found on Wikipedia. *Casino Royale is a 1967 spy parody film originally distributed by Columbia Pictures featuring an ensemble cast. It is loosely based on the 1953 novel of the same name by Ian Fleming, the first novel to feature the character James Bond. The film stars David Niven as the "original" Bond, Sir James Bond 007. Forced out of retirement to investigate the deaths and disappearances of international spies, he soon battles the mysterious Dr. Noah and SMERSH. The film's tagline: "Casino Royale is too much... for one James Bond!" refers to Bond's ruse to mislead SMERSH in which six other agents are pretending to be "James Bond", namely, baccarat master Evelyn Tremble (Peter Sellers); millionaire spy Vesper Lynd (Ursula Andress); Bond's secretary Miss Moneypenny (Barbara Bouchet); Bond's daughter with Mata Hari, Mata Bond (Joanna Pettet); and British agents Coop (Terence Cooper) and The Detainer (Daliah Lavi). - Wikipedia* I remember my dad telling me about this film & the idea sounds like it could be funny. I'll try to give it a watch soon so feel free to do the same. Now, the reviews for this film are very mixed, some love it, some hate it. So if you watch it let me know what you thought & I'll do the same.
Next mission I remember being kind of brutal. I wanna say my favorite might've been the bike mission on the bridge, but only because I found it fun to get at insane speeds and nearly burn everything to death while pretty much always crashing into things.
I wanna see the guy that thought the screams were realistic Since the first episode I instantly thought "is that bloody psychicpebbles?" Haha 24:00 - :10 is a good example
Interestingly, if you throw the coin grenade at the massage lady, even though you can't target her with a gun, you can kill her and it will fail the level.
I know I played this game on PS2 but the only thing I remember about it is the woman in the dress in the menus... I'm not sure what that says about me lol.
Hearing that little flute part at the beginning of the Kiss Kiss Club mission low key triggers me haha. I probably restarted that mission hundreds of times trying to sneak through it when I was a kid.
There is a cheat code for this game that gives you the golden gun which is a 1 shot 1 kill weapon with unlimited ammo i think, i forget what it is though
My favorite comedian Bill Hicks made same remark as you in his Revelations act it was end speech " Life is just a Ride" i respect you now more since Bill Hicks was extremely spiritual and intelligent mant and i bet you are too Mr. Micky D Hope you realize is consider this a form of comedy at it's best You're my Green Goblin now answer my calls xD My favorite Mr. Micky D joke : " Nuke ? I am irish so quess i am going to UK " - 00Yemen I really am motormouth i need to control that but i've said all the praises for you since you are great Mr. Micky D I even had same tought when 27 mins aprox the good song came up yea music breaks the language and ocean barrier between us ugh but it's true
10:05 "Biodegradable" means that it can be broken down and eaten by organisms like bacteria after being thrown away, Q was making a joke at bond's expense about how he never seems to return cars in any form of usable condition, like "Yes 007, after you lose it by driving it into the ocean or whatever, it won't pollute the environment"
I grew up with brosnan and thought he was abit cheesy later on, but after seeing Daniel Craig I appreciate brosnan more as I grow older, maybe it's nostalgia but I don't think he was that bad
Yeah, Brosnan was a good Bond who got handed at least two bad scripts (the one with the ex-00 with CIPA as the villain and Die Another Day). I don't think we've actually gotten a legitimately bad Bond yet.
To explain what the NSA does, its basically the USes nerd department. Programmers, mathemsticians and hackers. I don't even know if they have field officers like the FBI or CIA, I always think of them working in cubicles.
