The funniest part of this Kamala discourse for me is often black Jamaicans are the main ones who say they aren't black when they arrive to America. I wish more people would be honest & say Kamala doesn't have a similar experience or upbringing to blk Americans because that's really what it is. People should be able to focus on her running as a woman president like we did with Hillary because the race convo is draining & we all view it differently.

I don’t understand this constant ignorant narrative about Kamala‘s race. Her father is a black Jamaican just like my mother is a black Jamaican. My mother complexion is actually lighter than Kamala’s father, but my mother is definitely black her mother is Indian, which makes her biracial just like Barack Obama‘s father was black and his mother was white, which made him biracial but people were calling him the first black president so how is it that Barack is black and Kamala is not when they both have one black parent and one non-black parent? She attended an HBCU, she belongs to a black sorority. She’s always identified with her black side. What people need to do is stop being ignorant, do their research and avoid the ignorant distractions and pay attention to what’s really going on.

After 20 years, Chrissie should have nothing to say to Jim but her silence …..if I was her I would have went ghost on Jim….. he would not know where I lived, be blocked from all social media, all mutual friends would be cut off, and phone number changed….. As a DV/SA survivor I was only 18 at the time wanted to try something new.. said partner at the time tried to force it an kept going after I said no repeatedly ignoring my pain. When I’m scared I tend to smile or laugh to not escalate or antagonize my abuser. For the longest I wrestled with if it was my fault or if it was On me an my Loud NO wasn’t valid. It took me until the age of 23 to admit to my own self that I was graped. Then had to realize I went through multiple situations with this person disregarding my NO. I make sure to keep an open book with my siblings and let them know they NEVER have to do anything they don’t want to and No means NO!!💙💜
