After playing this game first hand it gives me a new level of respect to speed runners, especially in VR, who will bend their neck like octopuses to squeeze though holes not meant for man to squeeze though to get a better time. My hats off to to you sir.
36:01 when you go up the ramp there is a button on the ceiling that will shoot the ball down the tube and it will save you some time. Nice run and you managed only one death on the fast jumping section.
I love how one of the main complaints about the game is that the hub area section prior to opening quarantine is confusing Meanwhile this guy just pries them open with a fucking crowbar lmao

VR speedruns always fascinate me. Not only do you need to have an excellent understanding of a game's physics, routes, and tricks, like any other speedrunner, you also need to physically move quickly, with your arms and head and such. Somethings prob going over my head but one of the dialogue lines literally tell the player to stop playing the game how it's meant to be played and the same character apparently speedran some things himself, i doubt they'd be angry about the methods used for this run
I had absolutely no idea what I was doing in the hub, then I saw you pry open the door so I did the same with my hands using a modded character the game saw as heavy and it worked! So...finally able to continue the game! thanks for that
How are you so fast You went to mine dive before 10 minutes... it took me like 2 hours, speedrunning just brings in a whole new level of racing into any game... this is crazy.
I haven't tried it personally but......is that red button on the ceiling at 36:03 supposed to push the ball down? If so I think that might be a potential time save
at 43:47 i couldnt imagine a tall lanky humanoid abseloutely vaulting out of a hole at you especially in the fantasy timeline jeez that npc mustve shit themself
when you struggle smashing the boneworks box for a few seconds you can shave some time by shooting the box through the little window gap with your shotgun
and the part after where you spend time to get the ball over the bridge and then under it, as the heavy you can quickly lift the bridge up enough to toss it to the side to get the ball to the bottom instantly
i found this out while playing the game, at the train section you can throw a vending machine down there and itll stop the train so you dont have to duck under
See if I speedrun anything I like the idea of an NMG one, because it feels like the glitches are: 1. Too inconsistent since it's physics based & 2. It's just not as fun as finding the fastest routes through each level
This is actually impressive 👍 One thing I would say though Is that you could have skipped 50% of the game in 10 minutes I take at least 3 days to finish the game 😅
When in the lava just area just a tip for whoever, make sure you throw them into the actual lava and not one of the platforms down below. If they land on the platform they seem to survive and use the jump pad things to get back up
36:45 theres a way to move the bridge so you dont have to go all the way to the other side with that heavy ball, moving the bridge will save u some seconds
30:06 How are your monogon motorway laps so fast? My kart drives half that speed at full throttle and I get 2 minutes on a perfect run. Is there a boost button I missed?
I found a way to open the door on level 4 you need to crouch down and put your hands under the door while walking with your head in to the door as well note if you put your hands on the track you will start to stretch out and need to slow mo or crouch down to get out of it but when you stretch out you can pass through walls.
I used the dev manipulator gun to place the orbs, and I never touched the crane. Could this be a faster way to do it? Also for the subway part, I threw the vending machine onto the tracks and stopped the train completely...
Does the part where you collect avatars take slightly longer if you move away from where you popped the bubble, because it dosnt seem to end until the animation for the avatar going to the bodymog finishes. That if all that matters is popping the bubble then nevermind, but I think it might add time whe you move from where you popped it, I could be wrong
