Thanks for watching and for the comment. Give it a try. It's a lot of fun and the shad are real fighters. Heading down soon myself. Leave a comment on how you did. Always fun to hear updates. Good luck and tight lines.
Best of luck Mike! Remember, don't get discouraged if you get hung up. It happens to everyone. But once you find the right drift where you hit the fish, just repeat the same thing. We came home with over 75 fish! Try closer to the dam, they are really stacked up there and use about a 3/4 oz weight. It's perfect for the water speed. Let us all know how you did!
Thank you for the comment. I'm sure your going to get addicted to Shad fishing. It is such a great and inexpensive fishery. Tight lines and let us know how you do.
We’ve never tried either. From what we’ve been told, the current is pretty tricky in both areas so I’m not sure where the Shad travel lane would be. But heck, you just might find a perfect honey hole and have plenty of elbow room. Be sure and let us know how it goes! Tight lines.
This was early in the run and on a weekday. Shad fishing is becoming more and more popular since other fishing opportunities are decreasing. The sad part is, there are a lot of people who catch as much shad as they can, and that 's a lot because they are pretty easy to catch, but they just waste them since they don't really eat them, they just throw them away. If you don't plan on eating them, please practice good conservation and catch and release. Thanks for the comment and for watching. Tight lines and good luck.
I noticed that there are a lot of different things that people use that work. Thanks for the tip on the florescent green beads...I'll give them a try this year.
I’m from another state , I go to Oregon visit my daughter, please show me when I go to bonnevill for fishing which exit is a good place for fish ? Thanks
Lan, We've only fished on the Washington side of the Columbia. But if you google the Bonneville Dam you will see that it is only a short drive across to the side where we fish. Bonus: June 12th and 13th are Free Fishing Weekend in Washington this year (2021) so you don't need a license. We fished yesterday (June 9, 2021) and caught over 80! Tight lines and thanks for watching. PS Take your daughter fishing
The Shad are already starting to come in. That's where the video was made. I'm fishing June 11-15. Maybe I'll see you there. Good Luck and let us know how you do.
Bay Wolf hello I’ll be there on the 14th. I’m coming from Tacoma area. I heard you need a guid is that true? Could u send me a pin point location, so I can find the spot? Thank u
@@Death_Row_Anglers Thanks Savage Hookset, I'm not sure if you are asking me if I need a guide? Thank you, but I don't need a guide. The location that I fish is at the Bonneville Dam. You can't miss it. You will see all the guys fishing. I will be there on the 11th through the 13th this year.
You're right Duck, in fact, that's what we said in the video. And we've tried a lot of different things, including some we made. Most worked, some failed, but that's the fun. Try out different stuff and see what works for you. I can say tho, shad darts catch fish. Thanks for watching and for the comment.
