Mind blowing. I remember around 5 years ago, in the French Alps, taking an old train back to my hometown in the french riviera. Phone battery's dead, just had my old 2006 Ipod in the pocket. And that band, Bonobo, that I never went further than Kiara's Prelude. So I put Black Sands album on. I had this intense immersive experience as the mountains and deep shiny forest were passing by. The sounds touched me so much that I found myself crying among the profound landscapes. 5 hours of travel, felt like a blink of an eye. One of the greatest moment I've ever got the chance to experience.
Sameeee. But, Vietnam. On a sleeper bus, watching the greenery go by, contemplating life, appreciating where I was, taking it ALL in. Forever that album will be my ultimate nostalgia.
It was the 2006, in London was a rainy Friday afternoon when I decided that that night I was feeling to see some band live. Nothing interesting around..so I just checked the Ninja Tune website, cause I love Ninja Tune, they always have something interesting going on. They had this band Bonobo, ten pound, I say fuck it..let's buy 2 ticket, don't care who they are. When I entered the venue i see all these instrument, wow..fuck a full band, nice. Me and my girlfriend we had a nice charas blunt, this guy with the clarinet enter the stage, sounded so familiar, sounded so cinematic orchestra, and it blows my mind away. From then on I just remember me floating and smiling, loving any atoms that was crossing that room. That wasn't a concert, was an experience. And you, young generation, that spend the whole concert filming, sending, sharing you will never know that feeling. There is no battery, no memory card that can record the amount of information and emotions that gather inside me that day and that after 10 years still so vivid and intense that no even your iphone 12plus with Oculus 3d will ever been able to archive.
all well said. I was at Alexander Palace having seen them at Brixton, totally different vibe, but I am so glad I can connect again to that huge venue, end of tour event at Ali palace....
Absolutely agree with you. Time ago I heard a theme from this guys and in the actually gray scenery they shined in my mind as Portishead or the first Massive Attack, Tricky may be, did so many years ago. Now they are a must in my playlists
This show, and particularly Emkay, is the soundtrack to the time of the greatest moment in my life- the conception of my son and the about face of my failing relationship. Haven't looked back since!
Nothing beats a perfect live performence. I had the pleasure of meeting him after a concert in Amsterdam once, right before a complementary DJ-set he was playing straight after. My friend I I rocked up to the venue and he was standing outside, asking if we came straight from the concert and was really thankful for the support. Such an awesome guy!
It’s amazing that I’ve been listening to this amazing performance since was uploaded and still feel the same divine energy! I love u guys for sharing this jewelry with us💎 Remove the adds though Best PERFORMANCE EVER! EPIC

always has been a dream to hear Kiara live... 20-02 Amsterdam!!!! this will keep me warm until then. Simon Green, I really consider u a music genius. thank u so much ♡
I've been listening to Bonobo for a while, but this is the first time I've listened to a live track. And it's really fucking unbelievable. Each second is pure perfection.
I wish these guys will give such a great gig at the North Sea Jazz festival in Rotterdam once. Bonobo thanks a lot for those great vibes! Have a groovy week-end everyone and enjoy your sun...(--_-)------------* Kind regards from Rotterdam
always a pleasure seeing this guy perform. I've been lucky enough o see him perform full band onece and 4 dj sets and one small dj set at a small record store. Unbelievable the talent Simon has. My favourite rendition in this video was Black Sands right at the end. Amazing!
The drummer sucks =/ No finesse, no subtlety, crashes everywhere. Check out the drummer for Tycho's group, I forget his name but my god he's on another level entirely.
You my friend are definately not aquinted with the art of drumming, you think simon green, would not know a good from a bad drummer?? its called style, which you may not like but thats your oppionion. Let me assure this drummer is not a bad drummer it's the opposite. Coming from a drummer cheers
This is a style? No offense, but I would recommend not to use this drummer an example to improve yourself. This heavy handed 'style' doesn't fit very well with Bonobo's music in my opinion.
+SolarRainUK ok that is your opinion. But most people would disagree with you. check the comments to verify. BTW im not trying to diss you just inform you
