The Bonsai San show featured the best of the European Bonsai scene. In this movie we show the four winning Bonsai trees and the exhibition. www.bonsaiempi... Music: CMA
The incorporation of the bleached deadwood on these trees is spectacular; the contrast between the soft lines of the dark green foliage and the harsh movements of the white deadwood creates some truly interesting bonsai.
Bonsai is the only long dream fascination that I have never got into. I was impressed by Bonsais since I was 9 year old, but never had the courage or opportunity to get into. I am not sure that I have enough years left to get into this particular hobby.
The trees that spoke to me personally are the white pine at 6:50 and 10:37, the satsuki azalea at 10:23. The quince at 10:54, and the yew at 10:55 . That is the best thing about this hobby/ profession everyone has there taste and to me those were the winners. I wonder what Kimura not his sutdents would have chosen.
I see that they come in all shapes and sizes....The large ones look like something beautiful the rich would have sitting in there walk in hall ways for decoration.
How do I further develop my bonsai. I've got a tree thats about 2 years old. And I want it to have aerial roots, but they haven't come in yet. Any suggestions? Made a quick little video of my tree on my page if you want to see what I am working with.
Near 30/40 years of hard work again, and your bonsaï could be a real bonsaï. You must not wait and pray for having aerial roots. Bonsaï is: very technical, sometimes, like in this vidéo; art. But like in life no result without hard and long work !
if you want aerial roots its not easy. there are alot of plants that wont even form them. study your species and cultivars and see the type of climate/environments they prefer and do the opposite in a way. being in aus our pines like most, prefer mountainous areas. yet mine are crankin in my green house, hot n humid. be creative get a couple of the same plants and treat each differently. in the end its all a waiting game
