I did consider the Ion Pro but went for a Ravemen instead for the low and high beam settings as I ride in the city mostly, and want the option of high beam for unlit paths here and there. However, I will probably get a Bontrager rear light, just can't decide between the Flare RT and City models. Also, just curious whether you ride in Germany? Because I thought German laws meant you wouldn't be allowed to use a Bontrager at night.
Thank you for the video review. Could you give us details on the mount you are using to place the red LED (flare) under your saddle? Is it an available TREK/Bontrager mount? Also, does it really take 7 hours to charge with the included 4-wire USB cable? And what typenof USB charger / brick do you use to charge it? Thanks again!
Yes the mount I am using is one directly from Trek/Bontrager. I don’t remember the exact name but it’s specific for bikes with blendr compatibel seatposts. Unfortunately yes I feel like it does take around 7 hours. I always charge them overnight. I’m just using the built in USB plugs in my ikea power bar 👍

I was actually choosing between the two before I ended up going with the pro. The best way to explain the difference is if you just bike in the City where there are street lights and you only need to be seen but don’t need them to be able to see where you are going, then the city is perfect for you. But if you bike at Night on trails and roads where there are no lights then definitely get the pro. It’s extremely useful on bike trails at night where there is absolutely no lighting.
@@kian_zandi thanks for the reply. Tbh most my cycling is urban, but one never knows when you might need that extra 💡 light .. so might just go for the pro. Also thinking of getting the remote as I use a wahoo.
As far as I know it connects to Garmin cycling computers with Bluetooth which is probably why you can see it on your android. I don’t know how you would be able to control them from your phone though. Maybe look and see if you find a Bontrager app in the App Store
