Whew threw the unfinished bag in the( clean) trash. Sipped tea and started watching a fun talk show. Picked all the stitched out, watched the video segment again thinking I can do this and did!! Happy dance!
Thank you for your video. I think this is a cute bag.. . love your fabric choices, too. I made a small one but thought it was too little. It was difficult for me to sew the small handle side on the machine (and I hate hand sewing). When one of my friends saw it, she immediately asked for it. Then I made a larger one for myself. I like it much better and use it for groceries. . . veggies and fruit only. Oh, I also included pockets. . . I put pockets in every bag. . . lol.
Just completed my bag. Yes the smaller hole was the most challenging part and for someone like me that don't really know how to sow, it was a fun project to do. Thanks for posting
Oh you know my girls will want this. May as well get started before they even call. Lol. Thank you Andrea, you've may my girls happy and keep me busy. That's a good thing!! Both being nurses they're always needing different sized bags. We sincerely thank you.
@@Sewspire I'd say you are 100% right. Lol. I just really appreciate you making it easy for me!! :) They'll probably want a larger one too so I'll probably be making at least 2-3 for each of them.
@@Sewspire I'm making my great niece an outfit right now so I'm going to practice with this and make her one to match her little outfit.. just thought about it.. lol. Thank you once again 😊
I am surprised that you didn't clip the curves on the bottom of the bag. I would have turned the fabric the other way because it seems to me that both the outer and lining have a definite up and down design. It's a cute bag, I'll have to try it soon.
Hey Sue, The entire bag is clipped with the pinking shears. That cacti print is awesome; but, I don't think it would look good sideways on the bag. Let me know how your works out.
Gotcha! I thought you were talking about the cover photo fabric which is cacti and would have a clear direction. I really didn't give it much thought. I guess it is just a matter of preference as I don't know for sure that feathers or arrows have a right or wrong direction. Hope you are well!
Hello Andrea - you have made a fan of me! Thank you so much for your great tutorial. I love your soft spoken voice 😊. Followed all your instructions, but to do this right, I will need to invest in pinking scissors. Off I go to the shops - I hope I can avoid the fabric shelves!! 😊
I would place fabric, for maximum economy. Cutting, with less waste. Also, press that last part before sewing 😊 Similar to what I did with a on the go knit bag. Good tute, some of my own adaptions.
I love your simple instructions & nice & slow :D Have you ever done a tutorial for a simple boho bag please? just 4 pieces, lining & outer.. something simple thanks lol
can anyone here please tell me the measurements in cm? where i live we dont use inches, so i am not used to using them. thanks in advance to anyone who can help me.
