Hi Ian! Fellow Marylander. Have you ever tried exploring the crownsville hospital a little north of Annapolis MD? I believe it was an insane hospital for african americans, that had closed down back in 2004. The last I heard it isn’t accessible to the public, but they have open fields 20 yards away from the hospital where kids play soccer. Just a pretty eery thing to see I think. Love your vids!
Hey Chris, thanks for watching! Yep I’m familiar with the crownsville hospital complex and would love to explore there if possible. From everything I’ve read (like you said) they have it very locked down with security etc., so I don’t see a way to be able to explore it any time soon. Maybe one day though 🤞🤞
@@IanMartinExploration I just read up a tiny bit more online, but it looks Like since the State of Maryland turned the control over to Anne arundel county, Pittman has plans of renovating this hospital into ANOTHER hospital-type facility for people struggling with their mental health. with the partnership of EnBloom, Their main goal is to transfer this site into a place where nature and healing is their centerpiece. I hate to see such a cool place to visit be closed to the public, but hopefully (!!!!) they can open up the hospital BEFORE they tear it down, just for a couple tours. Seems to be too much history inside those walls. But then again… maybe they want to hide it? Maybe we will get lucky one day!!
