I can totally relate to this story. Mine broke engagements. 3 of them. It's sad when someone you knew so well, suddenly becomes a stranger. Not only sad, but really unfair.

You got it. I think that I overwhelmed him with my energy and passionate nature and he ghosted me. He still had demons to deal with concerning the divorce from an over 30 year marriage where his kids were turned against him.

Unhealed people or characters who aren't generous should not be seeking the company of another. Any connections worth a d**n understand reciprocity. Eww. I hope the character who reaches out is reaching out to a professional psychologist. Perhaps with tremendous effort to develop into a complete character they can have divine support with someone they have never devalued and discarded.

Wow this just happened to me. After a 9 month relationship he broke up with me on vacation and we flew home early. I was/am still shocked. Everything is like how you say here.
