When they included a bit of this in "The Evolution of Music" I think everyone wished for more------and there it was! You might have fun listening to the original from the Andrews Sisters. It was released in 1940, and used in the film "Buck Privates" in 1941. Somewhere on RU-vid there is a clip of the film showing the Andrews Sisters performing this song.
That was fun! My mother was born in 1929 and raised on jazz/boogie. So naturally I was too! I've always loved this particular song. The rhythm is just so irresistible and the Lemon Sisters are always catchy as heck. Thanks for another great reaction. You should def react to the original. I agree with you completely! PTX can cover any song, any genre, any singer if they put their mind to it. And usually make an upgrade. Would you react to a solo MItch cover? I just found another compilation video of them arranging their songs. They were pretty good at close harmony. I can tell PTX used some effects in the beginning that gave it the same sound as the original had on the radio or on early recordings in the 40s. We just did this song in our latest community choir concert.

So many songs left if you go by audio only. I feel like you need to go through each album to hear all their music that don't have videos. Also still waiting on you to do ptxperience episodes. I know you did one episode once from 2018. Those would keep you reacting to ptx for a very long time. Btw it's not that they can't do Taylor's music, its that Taylor's music isn't up to par with all the other covers or artists they've done. Her songwriting is medicocere and all in the same range so when you hear every song back to back it comes off as boring.
