Simple answer is they dont like piano and or boogie woogie. Its not hard to work out. It could also be as simple as they are in a rush to catch a train given the location happens to be a very busy station. As good as they are i wouldnt miss a train for them and the truth be told nor would anyone else.
St. Pancras. London. Next to Kings Cross rail station. Walked past this piano for years on my visits from the states. One year I FINALLY realized it's significance. Donated by Elton John.
I worked for Bernie Taupin in West Hollywood one time years ago and I wanted to tell him how great he was but my boss forbid it because he said it was not the thing to do while at work.
Yeah, I'm also afraid that too few have an idea of how genious this is. Most people don't really understand music - the beat, the arrangement/patterns, the 1-2-3-4 etc. But as long as music makes them happy and moving/dancing it's OK.
My husband is a former University prof and classical pianist, now private piano teacher. We're from New Orleans, but he studied under award winning.Georgian conductor Nodar Gabunia at Loyola, late of the Moscow Conservatoire. Prospective students are on a waiting list (not just for his talent but the fact that he charges on a sliding scale, as money should never preclude music opportunity). He loves your videos and recommmends them to his students. That's how far reaching you are, keep it up!
Dr. K, I have been following you for quite a while. It's time that I told you that you are one of the coolest dudes that I've ever watched perform. Art from 🇨🇦.
Different genres have entirely different energies and rhythms, for you to put down other times is not very enligthened. Hipfop for example has power, a tribal force music like this could never come close to, but music like this is far more energetic and upbeat its for a totally different type of situation.
@@lermadonnachie735 , you can play, too. Get a piano and have at it! Play what and when you want to. Keep going. You'll love it--and extend your life in the process. It'll make your heart sing!
Fantastic. Great music. Great fun. She is such a master. I always enjoy Dr K. This is special not only because of Ladyva but, for me, this is the first time I have seen Dr K dressed in a suit, not looking like a punk. It was a fresh treat. Always a class act.
Dr. K's talent and passion for music will inspire a lot of kids who watch him. Also, Dr. K's anti -CCP will encourage a lot of real Chinese people too. Thank you very much.
At the time he wasn't being Anti CCP. Dr K just wanted to play his music. When representatives from the CCP tried to stop him he just insisted on exercising his free rights. They then made fools of themselves and their country.
Dr. K will be very offended, he works at it all the time, then one pretty woman who plays well one day only comes along and see how fickle you guys are?!! Poor Dr.K.! 😰😢😭 @@petejames9366
You probably know . . . . but don't know . . . . not really . . . . how wonderfully important the message of your presence is playing that piano. Well done, and thank you.
I wasn't interested, but I thought I would listen for a minute and by the end I wanted more. I was thrilled by their talent and energy. Ladyva looks astonishingly gorgeous in that sweater dress.
I have been following Dr. K for about a year now. When Ladyva and Dr. K crossed paths and began performing their duos, the skies cleared, and sunshine has been appearing intermittently ever since because these two great Boogie Woogie greats teamed up. Absolutely sterling performance!!
My mother, who's in heaven now, would love to see y'all play together. She mostly played Christian music, but she could play & rock out on several boogie tunes. I think of her every time I watch boogie woogie tunes on the piano. Both of you are so gifted. God bless you!❤
I can well imagine your lovely musical mother being drawn to watch/listen to this, so she will be smiling and clapping! There is no death..you must feel your mother around you at times I’m sure…Godbless! 🙋♀️♥️💐
During the 80's in my young man days in a great church full of young people, we had three people who played the piano. Two ladies who played the pretty stuff wonderfully. And then sometimes we would want to get excited and jump around and all that, and they had me play like a rocker. Pounding out octaves for rhythm. Even though I would have loved being able to learn this I never played anything close.
this is the pinnacle folks, Ladyva and Dr.K.....back by pubic demand, w/astonishing sonic articulation by these certified improvisational virtuosos. they should do more tandem shows, call it the boogie-woogie ambassadors!
