People like that guy disgusts me to no end! I’ve been fighting cancer for three years- I was cancer free for 183 days. When I went for my last PET scan, it showed it came back with a vengeance- I told my oncologist it got pissed that we tried to kill it. Where before the surgery and treatments it was centralized in my lower stomach /upper traverse colon. When it came back- it hit me in all three lobes of my right lung, upper and lower lobe of my left lung, my liver, my lymph nodes and is flowing through my bloodstream. So, I do not understand what the hell these people are trying to get by pretending to have cancer. Is it sympathy? You can have it. Sympathy and pity are the last things we want. Is it attention? Attention for being sick.. nope you can’t have that too. Anyone, and I mean most people, at least the ones I’ve spoken to and heard in the various cancer support groups I go to - don’t even want people to know they - we - have cancer until it gets to the point of no denial. The way people look at you- with pity is gut wrenching. Not only that- something most of us are not aware of, and don’t even think about, until we are the one with the cancer/terminal cancer diagnosis think about is this.., you do not get or make friends because you’re sick. In fact, they begging fading then completely vanish- as in don’t come visit, don’t go hang out and then stop answering their phone. I spoke to my little sister a few days ago. I asked her why she stopped calling me. ( she lives in a different state) - I said to her idk why my best friend of over 38 years, stopped calling. I saw her less and less then she was just gone, over 18 months not a word. , almost two years for my little sister. My grandchildren rarely come by anymore. When I asked why, I was told because my “expiration date” is between late October to mid November- people don’t know how to act or what to say. Well, if you are in this position I’m telling you- act normal, say anything you want, say whatever you need to so that later you won’t be wishing you’d had more time to say… for now, I’m not physically ill. I still ride my bike, golf, go to the beach with my dogs, work in my garden with my husband, do anything, everything as I would’ve before. That’s part of what makes this so difficult to deal with, if you saw me in a store shopping, you’d never know I’m sick. I don’t carry around oxygen, I’m not using a walker, I’m your “average” 5’3 -135 pound woman (67yrs young) you see at Anytime Fitness three to four times a week. And trust me- NO ONE knows I’m stage 4 cancer with a 3 month life expectancy- my dad ( 90 yr old man who did 3 tours in Nam, then completed his career stationed at Camp David ) said to me that “the second most vile thing a person can do ( in this category of evil) is pretending they have cancer- it is directly under stealing valor”- and I agree

Hell you need an I.D. for everything these days! I also have a card from Sam's Club...had to have a valid photo ID to get that. I had to have an ID to open my bank account. I have my valid Montana driver's license and my Sam's Club card, and my ID required credit card. You have to have a valid photo ID to purchase alcohol and tobacco.
