I have enjoyed this series this far. Although there is a lot of internal inconsistencies. This is the most confusing book yet, I had to do a 10 minute search to realize you don't have the all the book for your own series here. So in 7.5 June and Oscar get married? But that is written about in a book between 6 and 7? Also in book 2 June goes to Hidden Hall for all of 2 days but in this book she some how has now gone for a year? Book 6.5 is a Christmas book, but then 7 take place near Halloween, and then we are back to Christmas for book 8? Is the missing year when she went to Hidden Hall? Also if Eloise is a dark sider and that runs in families then shouldn't those who were getting Oscar and June to come back, in book 1 have known that? And at that time dark siders were not allowed in. Or is that all explain in book 7.5? Over all I have really enjoyed this series.
Even inconsistencies within the stories like in book 6 she said the cat doesn’t ever shed but in this one at the start he sheds when he hops off the bed. Multiple other instances of inconsistencies spoil it a bit for me
Was so tempted to skip the book sequence and hear this one.Stayed true to the order and was delighted to finally get to this one. It's the best yet.Thankyou for posting this.🌟
Constant theme in every one of this is that the first thing out of anyone’s mouth, including her husband is “June, what have you done?! If I were her I’d go back to Locust Grove and leave them to it, including hubby.
I think June needs to be closer to Oscar they are married and he is a cop. They should make a badass crime solving team why does she always cut him out it, just doesn't make sense that they are so in love yet she doesn't trust him to help
Halfway through and disappointed that it's the same story over and over since the first one. Every book has her wrongly accused of murder. Every book, she doesn't listen to her intuition. Every book she shuts out Oscar. Every book she gives someone the wrong potion. By book 8, I'd expect character development, and June helping others who perhaps have gotten accused incorrectly, but no, just stupid June, getting it wrong yet again.
