I booked this back in May when there was a 30% Amex bonus transfer to Virgin. Booked the 5-night Dominican one for 89,000. The awesome part is that this is for two people per cabin as opposed to how other cruise lines charge per person.
If I'm not mistaken, for Capital One credit card owner is unable to transfer/convert points to Virgin. AFAIK by booking Virgin using C1 is meaning only got 2 points because travel category, then cover those travel expenses using points with ratio 1:1.
Hey Max, I love your informative videos. Just wondering, since I am a Canadian with AMEX account, will I be able to link my Virgin Atlantic Rewards with Virgin Red? I believe you can only open a Virgin Red Acct if you're from the USA (not from Canada). Thanks.
I'm the same way with cruises, but I'll give Virgin Cruise a try since Virgin Atlantic is my go to partner bookings. On a non related topic, your channel was mentioned in Frequent Miler's latest podcast congrats!
I booked 7 night from Barcelona for only 120k points 2 people include everything. when the transfer bonus was 30%. Looking forward for this trip. To me it’s definitely worth better than business class for a few hours.
cash rate at $2500+, redemption at 120,000 points for two people, still over 2 cents per point. not a bad deal at all. may have been cheaper in 2023 but we don't have a time machine
Devalued by 100%+ from 2023. Booked Virgin Voyages 8 days European cruise last year for 62K Virgin Atlantic miles + $0. Best cruise Ive ever been to (I've been to 11). But I dont believe the new point rates are a good deal at all.

@@MaxMilesPoints Still an "okay" redemption, it was a "phenomenal" one last year. I think its because I already redemeed it at a lower rate knowing its double now..
@@Re3iRtH it was a promotional rate to get some people hooked and sailing. Now that they attracted a bigger customer base, they can raise the cost. I think next year it will be even more expensive, especially when they start the west coast cruises.
@@eltipo223 Maybe but at the end of the day its < 1% of people who are using points to pay for the cruise. It's only select sailings and during the hottest (off peak) months that you could use points
max can you do a video on BILT and the alaska airlines transfer bonus that is happening in july! please tell us if it is worth it. i am a frequent traveler to asia. if we transfer points over to alaska, will the points have an expiration date? please i hope you see this
Alaska Airlines is formally part of OW now. Also, they still have partnership with JAL with pretty good redemption rates. Look for a redemption and if it's available then transfer and book.
Hi, could you see if theres anything for flights from Toronto/Vancouver to Pakistan (islamabad/Peshawar/Lahore/Karachi) ? The best way to redeem points for this?
Hey Max , really nice video ! I was wondering if I could help you with more Quality Editing in your videos , make a highly engaging Thumbnail and also help you with the overall youtube strategy and growth to grow your channel ! Pls let me know what do you think ?
I think his editing and thumbnails are just fine. His content fits a very niche area on the credit card points game space on YT; actual, real world examples of redemptions. Demonstrations regarding how to, search, transfer and redeem. If he were to expand his content it would be *maybe* credit card strategy and then how to utilize those points. That's getting dangerously close to "Sebby Zone" though, and Sebby is *very good* at that specific area. However, I do like how he's branched out into Cruise redemptions (maybe just this one video), and I have nearly zero interest in cruises. But, if there's other activities involving points redemptions then I think anyone is open to that type of content if it can provide value to the viewer.
